We went here on a Saturday evening. Nicely located, with establishments on both sides of the road. It was busy with locals, but we got a nice spot without reserving. The waiter was friendly and spoke good English. There was a wide range of meals...to choose from. The salads and vegetable soup were real treats!More
The restaurant has two parts on both sides of the road. The part near the garden looks nice but there were too many people smoking so we went to the other side. The light was very dim and the table was small. We could hardly...read the menu. Food was mediocre.More
I have been been at Boss for the first time in 1997 , since that time many years have passed and every time when I pass trough Subotica I make there a stop to have lunch, dinner or just have Cup of coffee and snack. It...amazes me how much this place developed in past 20 years and still managed to keep high quality of food and beverages! I can personally recommend beef tatar or many pizzas from the menu. Basically the food is excellent so you cannot make a mistake. To recommend as well are the wines of the house from Zvonko Bogdan winery .More
Boss is a place where I used to spend a lot of time at. They used to have the most amazing food, the size of portions, great service, ambient etc. However, this year someone decided to make more money, and cut portions in half, increase...prices, possibly even decrease salaries. I heard that around 30 cooks resigned from Boss over the period of last few months.I know people who work there, so it is not a rumor...
Overall, the food doesn't taste as it used to, now the quality is very poor (sometimes you get something which way too oily, or just isn't supposed to taste that way), and on top all of that, the prices went sky high. What the hell, really..
Unfortunately, Boss is the most popular restaurant in Subotica, meaning that chickas go there because it's considered fancy. But the restaurant shouldn't get away with the fact that they destroyed what they used to offer and remained as popular as they used to be, just because it is considered classy.More
