I highly recommend this amazing family restaurant! If you're searching home and very tasty is the best restaurant in Budva. Owners are very friendly, speaks English and Russian) when we came almost before closing the restaurant they allow us to enter and eat. We received as compliment from owners homemade goat cheese:) And there's in menu very tasty homemade baklava! It is a restaurant with a soul! Thank you, and hope to visit you again next year!

Amazing family restaurant

During our Budva time, we visited them a few times. All meals and dishes were always fresh, tasty and not priced too high. This is a kind of restaurant you always want to visit - a place run by family, with passion and love to food. We will definitely visit them again once we are in Budva again.

A great place, as one of the very few in Montenegro respects the rights of vegans. They anticipate the dishes in which milk or butter are added. Everything we ordered was fresh, crispy, homemade bread with olive paste and for dessert a wonderful Baklava made by the lady of the house - completely vegan, only flour, nuts, honey and orange juice.

Feel a little guilty giving 4 stars….

This place gets great reviews on here, that’s why we made the 20min walk from Budva to go and find it. It’s a cute little family run restaurant. The waiter was one of the owners I think and I enjoyed his attention to detail on how he presented the table and food. We enjoyed a litre of his grandparents homemade wine, very easy drinking and at €16 there’s nothing to complain about there. We got fried cheese to share and the olives. Two mains of pork and chicken. The food was ok, don’t expect luxury, this is Montenegrin home cooked food. Where the 5th star was dropped, we weren’t offered any dessert. We thought he’d come round once the plates we cleared, but we were just sat there waiting. It wasnt particularly busy. Such a shame. I would recommend people go and give this place a try, I think we just dropped unlucky, but it’s a 4 from us.

Exelent restaurant, very polite host, great food!

Me and my girlfriend went to celebrate New Year's eve in Budva, Montenegro. We were very lucky to book appartment close to this restaurant, which was open the whole time, even on 1st of January. Very polite and helpfull host. Waiter was also always ready to help and very polite. Whatever we ordered was very tasty and as described in menu. Portions were pretty big and prices affordable. Looking forward to coming back and I recomend to all of our friends if they come to Budva.

Seriously Charming

A blended American & European had different reactions to this restaurant. The recommended dinners were a big hit. The fresh water grilled fish was perfectly cooked with great mixed grilled vegetables as well as the stuffed pork cutlet. Here is where the different cultures were divided. The meat platter and grilled chicken dinners were loved by the European members of our dinner party and the Americans found them a bit overcooked but still tasty. We had wonderful service and it was an extremely charming restaurant.

Amazing place, perfect food, staff with smile, kindness and perfect English, prices really good. And all this charm because of staying in peaceful are of Budva. Place with perfect atmosphere, not crowded, familiar restaurants always are the best choice. Simple, hearty food and excellent service

Came here for dinner having read plenty of positive reviews online and it certainly delivered. It's tucked away down a quiet side street in a residential area, so not somewhere you'd come across by chance as it's a reasonable walk outside Budva town centre. Menu consists of classic Balkan cuisine – lots of meat, fish and cheese. Quite rustic but all really tasty, well cooked and service is so friendly and attentive. Prices are extremely reasonable and significantly cheaper than most restaurants near the waterfront. We came back another night as it was one of the most enjoyable meals we had in Budva. Warm, laid-back ambience as well. Well worth a visit.

Quality dinner in Budva

We ate in Konoba Bocun and it was a very good experience. We had their homemade cheese that is something halfway between an italian caciotta and a “primo sale” cheeses. As main courses we tried grilled squids and a savoury traditional dish of meat stuffed with cheese and ham. We liked them both. The waiter Stefan has been very welcoming and kind with us. We recommend this restaurant.

Reading all this great feedback we’ve decided to visit this place and it was just the best thing we did. First, very very nice owner and his brother. Second the story of the family restaurant and meals served. Prosciutto made by grandfather, homemade bread with kajmak, shopska salad and finally bahlava made by grandma - delicious choices. For sure we’ll be back to taste main dishes. This is no1 in Budva!

The most beautiful place

The establishment compares favorably with many local ones. A very pleasant family restaurant, the entire menu with photographs of dishes, which is a huge plus, the prices are low. The food is delicious, the waiters are polite and even speak Russian. I hope this establishment will continue to flourish.

Cozy restaurant located remotely from Budva coast boulevard. Nice and quiet place. Service is top shelf. Due to no reservation, we had to wait few minutes. Two dining areas - ground floor and a very nice terrace. Service is top shelf. We were informed that there's approximately 30 minutes waiting time for the course. And... it was freaking worth it. Everything was prepared on the spot and fresh. It's a family restaurant and you really feel that they put their hearts in what they're preparing. Taste? It was so delicious, that you felt as if baby Jesus stepped on your tongue. I strongly recommend this place. You'll love it.

Wonderful place! Been there twice - delicious homemade food. We were served by the owner himself - a friendly young man who runs a family restaurant and is an integral part of it. Everything is very simple, fresh and tasty - food that you can eat every day. The price is absolutely reasonable. The place is simple, but very authentic. We are glad that we found such a cozy place. If we happen to visit Montenegro again, this restaurant is number one, where we will definitely stop by.

Local restaurant with pleasing mood

I and my girlfriend were there 2 times, once in the evening and once in the afternoon. Generally speaking it's great place for dinner, especially when the temperature is a bit lower than during the day, because there's no air conditioning (and that can be harsh for lunch when temperatures in Montenegro spike to day's maximum). They have great service, great red, local wine and some nice local cuisine. I can honestly tell that if you're in Budva you should visit this place.

BEST PLACE IN TOWN

This place is a must visit if you're in Budva. Far from the beach, from the tourist ripping places, at a very quite location with some classic music in the background. Portions are more than enough, the traditional dishes taste great, too. The staff is incrediblly kind and accommodating and everyone speaks English. We ate here 4 times out of 5 when we went out, which shows how much we loved it. Thank you for everything!
