If you are staying in the Budva old town area then why go anywhere else.

Just had a two week holiday in Budva staying in a hotel near the old town. The restaurants on the sea front and in the old town can be very expensive and not that good. So we were keen to find a better value, family restaurant that did fresh food. We tried a few places but went to L and M's about 6 times. Nice fresh food, good value salads, grilled vegetables and local dishes. Me and my wife loved it and we want to say thanks a lot to the really friendly staff, and also for the delicious free shots of Rakije. If you want really flash and fancy restaurants this might not be for you, but of you want good quality, freshly made food that feels like you are round at your mum and dad's house being looked after then this is the one. Would have had a much worse holiday without having this place close to the hotel.

Simple, tasty fayre at reasonable prices

We decided to try this place after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. I’m glad we did. Simple, authentic and tasty fayre at decent prices. Like going to your gran’s on a Sunday afternoon. This is the sort of place I like to eat when I am in a new country. I think you get a better feel for the culture. We paid 40e for two starters, two mains, a bottle of wine and a large still water and we left a 5e tip. Would definitely recommend.

Restaurant to go near city center in Budva

Great restaurant for having dinner. I was there twice and I highly recommended it. It is a genuine and typical restaurant for having food . First night I had squid which were really good. Second night I had mix fish ( 1 kg I was starving ) and I really appreciated! Place to go in Budva just near by the city center.

Needs to improve, a lot.

Have you seen Adam's Family? If so, this restaurant would be Morticia. Lights were dim, the waiter had less energy than a disconnected light bulb. Food wasn't good. We ordered cordon blue and risotto frutti di mare. Too salty. Not good. The only thing this restaurant has going for them is that the pictures in the menu are pretty bad. Meaning they are honest. It really looks like this in real life.

One shot experience

We visited this place out of curiosity, but unfortunately, it was disappointing. The restaurant's website mentioned a daily menu, so we asked for it. To our surprise, the regular menus were taken away from us in a rather aggressive manner, which was at least tactless. The food was generally average, nothing special. I wouldn't go there again with my family unless I was very hungry and happened to be nearby.

Delicious variety of fish

Great hidden gem. I think most people staying in the area go to a water front restaurant but we decided to give this place a try. So glad we did. We shared the mixed fish plate, all of it was very good!

just a street from the crowded beach on the way to old town, lies this simple but very cozy restaurant. good, fast service and good variety food and drinks at a good price.a nice place for all ages. I can recommend it to anybody.

Great place!

The waiters were very profesional and cool. The food was great and they serve big portions (like everywhere in Monte Negro). I totally recommend it. Could have visit them every day, for every meal, but... All good things come to an end at some point. Thank you for the great service Montenegrian people 😉

Our group had a very nice dinner here, super good service from the owner

Our Swedish running group had a booked dinner here. Super nice owner with staff took very good care of us. Schnitzel and Filet mignon was very good. I tried a couple of the small 200 mr bottles with white wine and one of them vas over my expectations! Most of my friends had beer and some of them had raki. I would like to recommend this restaurant not only because of the food but for the welcoming and super service they gave us!

A perfect local family restsurant

Local family restaurant. Very big selection of Sea food and meats like a much bigger place. Sea Soup was good. All rest of dishes (5) were perfect. Perfect service and atmosphire. Very modest pricing 70 euro for two. We will shurelly visit again.

Not for young famililies

Not really good for young families. We came for dinner. The place was quite small and close to busy streets with a large car park opposite. The restaurant had no glass windows and hence no AC. The tables were very basic. When we turned up it was full of middle aged men drinking and smoking heavily. The meal was totally spoilt by this. The food was ok but again, this place is not geared for little ones.

Good Local Flavours

We visited the L&M Restaurant after reading the reviews here on Tripadvisor and we were so glad we did. Ideally I'd like to have given this restaurant 4.5 stars, rather than the 4 that I gave it. It's a little off the beaten track away from the high priced restaurants in the old town or along the beach front, up a side street next to the large shopping arcade and across the road from the farmers market. You don't get fancy food here, you get well cooked local dishes and the restaurant is popular with locals (who are their main customers) and which also provides take away meals of their local cuisine. We were pleased to dine here twice with my wife and I having between us, the salmon fillets, steak, breaded scampi, white wine and bottles of still water, a fish soup the first night and desserts the second evening. The meals costing 57 and 59 euros respectively. If you want to taste what the lo cals in Budva eat, then visit this restaurant. It's good food, cooked well.

Quality Home-cooked food. Excellent value

Lovely friendly staff, quality and excellent value home cooked food. We visited as a family, having tried a number of expensive restaurants in the Old Town, and we were all impressed with the food and the service. Situated a couple of streets back from the front, in a quiet neighbourhood.

Horrible customer service...very rude staff...food tasted average. The owner refused to give us an empty glass because we didn't order drinks although we had ordered a lot of food.
