Amazing food, place and service. Absolutely a come back. Was quite empty at the moment of visit. We served 7 dishes all 5/5.

On 22 July 2019 I had lunch at La Castel. In short, I had food poisoning from eating Mici/Mititei there. I am sure that was the reason. The outdoor area is nice, but getting sick from the food there was a terrible experience.

The location is great but in short after a road of about 50 km and positive recommendations you instantly change your opinion about this place. When we arrived we noticed a free meal we sat in, being guided by a waiter. After 10 minutes arrived...and the menus and once with them, a restaurant "manager" that specified us as the table is reserved and we have to rise at that time (I say that the table did not have the busy sign put). We tried to find another table but again that manager with a totally inappropriate and unprofessional attitude explained to us that he went to work and it's until 22 and he's not in the mood for clients ' mofts and that he has to arrange his meal for another client. It was probably for an acquaintance, ready and not for clients. After a whole discussion, he specified me in a high tone to leave. I am surprised, I do not recommend to anyone the location, I certainly will not return to this place. The staff is very poor and very clean. Read the customer recommendations before, be careful where you sit that at any time the restaurant manager can come and pick you up. I recommend other locations in Iasi.More

My girlfriend had her birthday at La Castel, and we were very excited for the event since this is such a beautiful place, but unfortunately we had a terrible experience. We were a group of 14, and 4 people got sick from the food, the...dirty tableware or glassware. Even my beer glass was very dirty but unfortunately I noticed this only after I finished it. A couple of hours after leaving the place, both my parents, a cousin and my girlfriend got really sick, but only my girlfriend ended up in the hospital. I immediately called La Castel to notify the incident so nobody else gets sick from those dishes and after some time a manager called back. She was very friendly on the phone and she invited us to their office to discuss the issue. All the nice attitude was gone when we got to the general managers office and met the most ignorant, self centered person. He never stopped talking about his amazing restaurant where a lot of important people eat, and didn't care one second about our situation. His atitudine was very inappropriate, suggesting that we should thank him for discovering a possible allergy..but for sure it wasn't the case. Everyone at the table had eaten those dishes before. And anyway, we didn't visit the restaurant for an allergy test, so what's with this statement? He was arguing with us, like it was our fault because we got sick, and there's no possible way the food or pour hygiene of the restaurant was the reason (But for sure the sauce from my girlfriends dish was fermented. Both my girlfriend and father ate from it and got sick). Currently we are waiting for the test results from the hospital so we can take this case further. Me personally I will never visit this place ever again. Not because of the food, but because of the management of this place. Their opinion is that their restaurant is the best, and if you have some unpleasant experience here, it's the clients fault, not their's. I was at the restaurant a few years ago and I was not too impressed, but this time it was very nice. We had a meal on the beautiful terrace, with live music, tasteful music, which did not disturb and which made our stay even...more enjoyable. The food and the wine we ordered did not disappoint. Everyone present praised the chef. The waiter were also very attentive and patient. Thank you! We will definitely come back!More

This place is the perfect place for an restaurant, it has an wonderful garden very well maintained, it's quiet and you can have a fresh air breath. Here comes the BUT, the food doesn't say nothing... It's not good but not bad. It's not my...first time here, I have been here with different occasions... Never been impressed by anything but the garden. This time I worded pancakes with wild berries gem and they gave with apricot gem :(.More

I was there to celebrate my marriage and I had a very bad experience. The food was bad.. the steak that we ate was small, fat and stiff. They didn't want to accept the cake that I order even if I wrote them in the...email sent a dew days earlier about this. They don't even read the emails... Also, even if I didn't order any drinks before to get there, they brought many many bottles of soda and started to fill the glasses from the table. After a long fight with 2 different people from there (in such important day for us), I asked them to check the recording where the guy who made the reservation told me about the rules that they have regarding the cakes. Of course, they didn't found in the conversation what I've asked them to look for and finally, they brought us the cake. The bill had also some bottles of sodas and water that we didn't drink but I heard this happens frequently for large parties.More

The food is very consistent and tasty, the atmosphere is like in a garden with plenty of flowers. The place is situated in the middle of the nature and we spent a very nice afternoon there.

Doe to weather conditions i could not enjoy the views the place is offering. Otherwise, the place is warm and welcoming. i especially liked the menu with pictures, as many times the way to prepare a dish is up to the chef and it may...not be the same as in other places. I have tested a full menu, and i can say it was brilliant. Next time i might stay there too.More

The menu is very big. We ordered some soup, a entrecôte and some desert. A lot of food in the plate. Well worth a visit and remember to order in advanced.

We celebrated New Year's Eve 2019 there. The ambiance was too rustic for a "castle": the music was "taraf" and the food had no elegance and refinement at all. Waiters were nice but totally devoid of professionalism, most were beginners and spilled drinks, or were...unable to open a bottle of champagne. They had an open bar that was rather poor and lacked air conditioning, and the place was very crowded, the atmosphere became suffocating. The price was too high for what they offered. We certainly will not come back here!More

It has 3 stars because it’s all it deserves. Staff is very friendly and with good customer service and the rooms are quite big and clean. But the place doesn’t meet the expectations, looks great on the outside but very disappointed after a one night...stay. First room was freezing so it had to be changed, I couldn’t even walk in with the baby, second room was ok. Very cold during the night, I came out ouf the shower, water everywhere on the floor, water drip under the sink as well. At dinner we ordered “homemade “ pie that wasn’t properly cooked, staff did apologize and took it off the bill but you can’t really say a pie is “homemade “ if you use store bought pastry. No TV signal so instead of watching TV, I’m writing you this review. it needs a refurbish to be updated to 2019, their prices are definitely up to date. The place does have goods and bads, but mostly bads. Defined won’t be coming back! Good luckMore
