My girlfriend and I stopped in before heading over to Huacachina for some sandboarding. We were there early in the day and were the only ones in the restaurant. There's no menu, which might not be everybody's cup of tea. Basically, the owner (Harwilliam?) puts together a few different dishes depending on what he has in the kitchen. There was... More

I second what Jaime C said. The place was empty when we arrived and the owner was very friendly but when we asked to see the menu he said "you are looking at it" talked us into one of the two dishes he was offering. The food wasn't great for the price, tiny salad... plus we didnt' know how much... More

My husband and I had a couple hours to kill in Ica before our overnight bus to Arequipa. We walked down to the plaza and checked tripadvisor for recommendations. I only looked quickly and saw the high overall score so we decided to go. We were the only people in the restaurant, should have been our first warning. As all... More

just off the main plaza area so a little quiet. We just stopped in for a beer the staff were friendly and the menu looked like there were lots of vegetarian options.the only let down was the food looked a bit pricy.

The owner was very friendly and helpful with the menu. The food was prepared very well and tasted excellent. After speaking with the owner for a bit, he also gave us advice on the specifics of the rest of our trip. He was extremely helpful. The fact that the restaurant is family run for 3 generations just adds to the... More

We did have 2 different chicken courses. Most of the menu was not available but the house specialty was very good (chicken stuffed with spinach) Pisco sour also was good and very big

I felt like one of the family in this cozy little restaurant off the Plaza de Armas! The decor is lovely- lots of great art and bottles of wine on the tables. The price was a splurge for me as I'm backpacking, but the sea bass au gratin with asparagus was heaven- something that would cost three times as much... More

We were dog-tired and fresh off the boat from Lima. After dodging the hive of cab driver's at the Cruz del Sur station, my partner and I huffed it over to la plaza and made a round of restaurant viewing and menu gauging. Polleria, Polleria, Cevicheria, Cevicheria, nothing was catching. So, having just about given up our lunch hunt, hungry,... More

We went there twice because the servers were willing to work with our broken Spanish to help us find vegetarian fare, which was ultimately delicious. I especially recommend the 'pastillares verde' or the lima bean and rice dish. But both times we were the only ones there, there were items on the menu that they did not have, and it... More

If you like basic but overpriced food - it's a nice enough place. Nothing special however and the waiter (owner?) will milk you for all he's worth including insisting you upgrade to his 'signature' (read overpriced) dishes, trying his 'special' (which it isn't) Piso and then, to add insult to injury, adding service charge to the already overpriced meal (practice...
