I really enjoyed my time at Mapacho where they have a menu for tourists for 55 soles which includes a starter, main dish and dessert. Their craft beer is very good, with a lovely view to the Vilcanota river and what made my experience the best possible was their service. Felipe was an excellent waiter who gave me good advice and helped me with everything I needed. The food was very tasty, totally recommended.

We had an amazing meal at Mapacho. Felipe was great! He patiently answered the multiple questions my wife had about the burgers (she has some very specific condiment requirements), explained how Chicha Morada was made and was very friendly and welcoming! Our tour guide recommended this place and was a great choice!
The food was very good, excellent presentation and very tasty.
Ian attended us with high quality and empathy, we asked him for some changes to the original dishes and he made it happen. He is very nice and we felt very welcomed while enjoying our food there by the river.

We stopped by in the afternoon after seeing the great reviews on the site and booked a table for the evening.
Shortly after a guide suggested this very restaurant where to go to eat without us telling him that we had already booked .. so we were very happy to have chosen a good place!
The dinner did not disappoint our expectations: booking the table, we were reserved a beautiful place overlooking the river and mountains. The place is very spacious, clean and very very nice.
Our waiter Ian was superb!

Worst meal I have ever had in Peru. Ordered Alpaca meat, almost threw up after the first bite, it tasted terrible (I also had it in Cusco, it was very tender). Fried rice is moist and bland. Lamb has a very strong lamb smell, though my cousin liked it. Not worth it!

I was able eat here without difficulty being gluten-free. They offer gluten-free pasta as well. Edward was a pure delight, he made every accommodation possible for us to feel comfortable, welcomed and fulfilled with our meal. He was super man he was serving a table of 16 and 3 other large tables as well as got our orders out right away. They are lucky to have him. Can’t recommend this place enough!
