El Indio Feliz was a surprise found in Aguas Calientes town, owner Patrick greeted us at the entrance and accompanied to our table. He recommended us to try a wonderful salad and then the Mango fish which was delicious and a French wine to goes with it. Great ambiance and as background jazz music with low volume to create a... We had the set menu which had an excellent choice . Very good quality and value for money. It was very busy with people coming back from Machu Picchu.

We were lucky to arrive early, we didn't know you needed reservations. The food was great, the decor interesting all the walls are covered with business cards of all travelers. The menu, is from the region, mixing fruits and region vegetables. Service was excellent, so glad our hotel receptionist told us about this place.

Tried to go there on Jan 31 and signed posted that closed for two months. Not sure when they closed so call before trying to see if opened, was recommended by our hotel and very popular in TripAdvisor

The reviews for here tempted us to seek it out, and as we walked down the main street and turned right, the waiter in the restaurant opposite stated - "Indio Felix is closed", and indeed there were workmen working on it and a sign indicating that it is closed for two months. We ate elsewhere. Jan 28th 2017 - so... More

What do you need before visiting Machu Picchu? You need to have some good rest but before that to have a great place to eat and reload energy! At las aguas calientes, it's very easy to find a tourist trap but when you entered at El Indio Feliz you feel at home and have a warm welcoming and this last... More

The owner makes you feel like long lost family. The grating is warm and welcoming, the atmosphere is funky, and the food delicious. I suggest trying the mango fish - a specialty of the house. Bring a business card!

This was one of the tastiest meals of my whole time in Peru! Good staff too! The other two in our group said their food was very good didn't love it quite as much as I did (hence 4 instead of 5 stars). The downstairs decor is a a little chaotic but fun, and the upper floors made me think... More

Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Callientes) is a small tiny village at the bottom f Machu Picchu site. Walking at main street and central square you´re approached every step by restaurant people showing you menus and offering food and drink. Nothing more ususal in such places. And I´m usually hate that, as are tourist traps, where you eat poor quality food... More

We had an excellent lunch at Indi Feliz! I had fish and my husband had chicken. Both meals were excellent. We would highly recommend this restaurant when visiting Machu Picchu.
