This is a small restaurant run by a friendly lady. She makes great Tajines: I tried once the sardine tajine and once the shrimp tajine. I also ordered Zaalouk which is an aubergine salad.
All of it was very flavourful and delicious.
We ate some type of chicken egg roll dish with 2 of them that were pretty good. The other dish was Tanjin chicken with couscous. It was average. The waiter was average for Morocco waiters. Good location, decent food. Rate a 3.5.
I was so happy to find out Sofia is open again! Due to the traveling restrictions, this restaurant is paradise, everything fresh and cooked from scratch just for you. Her tagines are unbeatable, tastier than anything else in town. One can also order in advance,...and they offer takeaway. Do not miss her amazing stuffed zucchini, and her own Nora cous cous.More
A local recommended this restaurant to us. It is run by a local woman. We ordered Sofia Harira soup (chicken and veg), chicken rolls, and fish tagine. The food was all really delicious. The restaurant is very close to the Kasbah and reasonably priced.
Although our waiter was pleasant, the food was bland, the bread wasn't as fresh as we've had elsewhere, cats sit literally touching you after roaming about on the roof & among cracks nearby. Finally, after taking our money, the server went directly to cutting bread...without washing hands. Just unpleasant to think whether or not we will be well in a day or two. This can't possibly be the 4th best restaurant in town...so confused by this ranking.More
We had a tasty and filling lunch here very close to but away from the bustle of the main square. The portions are generous. We had 2 teas, 2 soups, 1 tajine (a delicious chicken & lemon) & 1 couscous (chicken & veg) for 125dh....It’s a little tricky to find but persevere. Turn left up the alley from the square then immediately left again to the end of that alley. It’s the restaurant at the end. Recommended.More
This restaurant was recommended to us by several people (both natives and tourists alike--which speaks highly of this place, in my opinion!). The food was delicious and service was great. We enjoyed our lunch on the outdoor patio. Highly recommend!!
