Hamsa offers healthy, diet conscious options, which can be a nice change traveling in Morocco. The atmosphere is lovely on the rooftop terrace, especially at sunset. I enjoyed my piping hot food, and even got a cookie to go. They were out of a couple...things I wanted, which is fair because it was almost closing time, but I enjoyed my pea soup and falafels. It almost feels more like a cafe back in Europe or the USA, but the catch is you pay a little more for that. I paid 100 dirhams, about $10, for a healthy, satisfying meal, which is a great deal at home, but I did pay about half that the night before for a large Moroccan feast, so it's a little high for Morocco.More

Around 12pm, we ate lunch at Hamsa restaurant on their rooftop in the Kasbah. Hummus is a 3.5 for 35dh, and avocado toast for 55dh was just a 3. Location and view are both a 5 rating. View from the front is the Kasbah. View...from the back, you can see our hotel Dar Sababa to the left. Waiter was pleasant and a 3.5-4. Overall, the food was a very average 3. Still can't see rating this a 4. Rate a 3.More

Loved it some much we went back again the next day. Super clean place, reminded me of cafes back home in Australia. Had the falafel and hummus twice! Avocado on toast with fried egg was a winner. Choc chip cookies were a special treat. Fresh...and tasty and a nice change from Tagine or every other Moroccan restaurant. Very well presented little place with seemingly all young gorgeous friendly women on staff. A very nice change to the norm in Morocco and exactly what we were craving after 3 weeks away from home. Great view from the terrace to the back the sea of blue buildings or the the front overlooking the main square. Great for people watching and checking out buskers.More

Our group shared a bunch of dishes for lunch: hummus, pita bread, falafel plate, chicken shawarma, goat cheese, israeli salad...and all were really fresh and delicious.

Went here twice on a two day trip in chefchaouen- this restaurant has traditional Moroccan dishes that are a bit healthier than usual and offers good gluten free and vegetarian options which is nearly impossible to find in morocco. I recommend the vegetarian tagine -...the mint and rose tea - and also the milk and honey and cinnamon drink. Everything was delicious and the waitresses there are kind and provide good service. Nice clean restaurant located right in the center of the shopping areaMore
