I highly recommend Hamsa restaurant in Chefchaouen. Beautiful views from the rooftop that looks all over Chefchaouen. Amazing attraction with blue. Thank you for my amazing mint tea and the staff are all polite and friendly

Food was edible. Menu neither modern nor good Moroccan. Go elsewhere. The restaurant is supposed to be gluten free, vegetarian friendly - It is not. Overheard couple on next table being told “harira” was vegetarian - it is soup containing lamb meat - by waitress...not understanding what “my wife is vegetarian” meant. Terrace and view over the square not worth the price for below-par food.More

The food was mostly very nice (although the hummus was very weird and watery). The waiter was very nice and helpful! A good place for an inexpensive local dinners

Don’t go if you want an early lunch. The staff were unhelpful, slow to bring a basic drinks order. They had nothing to offer other than a few drinks and eggs/ omelette and Moroccan sweets and waited until after we ordered drinks before telling us....We visited hoping for gluten free, as this was recommended as somewhere vegan and gluten-free friendly (and the sign outside advertises this) but were told they don’t have the cake, don’t have the cookies, no falafel no hummus, etc. Then they couldn’t offer us lemon mint because they didn’t have mint!!!!!!! What cafe or restaurant doesn’t have mint in Morocco. Go 5 mins down the road and get some.More

My husband and I spent four nights in Chefchaoen and ate at Hamsa three times while we were there. While there are plenty of gluten free Moroccan dishes, we found that in most places it was a bit hard to communicate exactly what gluten free...meant if we wanted to confirm that a dish was gluten free. A number of the restaurants next to Hamsa have big signs advertising gluten free, but as soon as you ask someone what is gluten free on the menu, they either didn’t understand at all or would point to something that was definitely not gluten free. Hamsa, on the other hand, understood and had several options that we really liked. The shashuka, tatouka, falafels, hummus, and Moroccan salad were all very good. And, the gluten free chocolate cake is fantastic!! We took a few pieces to go and nibbled on them for three days and it was always just as good as the first day. If we had discovered it earlier, I would have begged them to teach us how to make it. Hamsa is just across from the kasbah in a row of several restaurants, but you have to go up stairs to get to it. Look for the entrance at the end of all the ground floor restaurants. There is a dining area at the top of the stairs and another one level up on the roof. Don’t miss it!More

We stopped here for lunch. I had houmus and my friend had shakshouka. I think the houmus could have had more garlic but the view was sensational and I loved that it was a vegan restaurant. Lovely staff. Super-clean, try the flourless cake, it looked...amazing.More

The reviews are real, this café didn’t disappoint. I had my lunch on the roof top which has the view of Chefchauen, the Blue City. The food is equally amazing as the ambience. Definitely worth it. Would recommend to everyone. ❤️

Hamsa offers healthy, diet conscious options, which can be a nice change traveling in Morocco. The atmosphere is lovely on the rooftop terrace, especially at sunset. I enjoyed my piping hot food, and even got a cookie to go. They were out of a couple...things I wanted, which is fair because it was almost closing time, but I enjoyed my pea soup and falafels. It almost feels more like a cafe back in Europe or the USA, but the catch is you pay a little more for that. I paid 100 dirhams, about $10, for a healthy, satisfying meal, which is a great deal at home, but I did pay about half that the night before for a large Moroccan feast, so it's a little high for Morocco.More

Around 12pm, we ate lunch at Hamsa restaurant on their rooftop in the Kasbah. Hummus is a 3.5 for 35dh, and avocado toast for 55dh was just a 3. Location and view are both a 5 rating. View from the front is the Kasbah. View...from the back, you can see our hotel Dar Sababa to the left. Waiter was pleasant and a 3.5-4. Overall, the food was a very average 3. Still can't see rating this a 4. Rate a 3.More

Loved it some much we went back again the next day. Super clean place, reminded me of cafes back home in Australia. Had the falafel and hummus twice! Avocado on toast with fried egg was a winner. Choc chip cookies were a special treat. Fresh...and tasty and a nice change from Tagine or every other Moroccan restaurant. Very well presented little place with seemingly all young gorgeous friendly women on staff. A very nice change to the norm in Morocco and exactly what we were craving after 3 weeks away from home. Great view from the terrace to the back the sea of blue buildings or the the front overlooking the main square. Great for people watching and checking out buskers.More
