Great small restaurant right outside the Taaras Beach Resort with good food (better than than the hotel food). Wide variety of foods along with menus in multiple languages (Spanish, English, Chinese and Italian - nice touch)

My husband and I are visiting Redang from America. We were excited to try the local food outside the resort. However, our experience at this resteraunt was so disappointing. The waitress was very rude and condescending towards us. Her attitude was as if she didn't want to serve us at all... when we asked about the vegetables, she gave a... More

At peak hours...i have to wait for more than 2 hours. Why not get more chef during peak hours? Ofcoz...there is no other choice here. Its even worst for a diner at taraas.

This restaurant is right outside Taara's so we ate here to save the MR 130 each buffet charge at the hotel. Food is OK and service is hit and miss. Local rice and noodle dishes are good and cheap. Fish looked good but we did not order. Meal for 4 cost about MR 100.

The food is just so-so and the prices are high up there since it is near to taaras. You can search other local food restaurant.

During our stay at the Hotel Taaras we visited this family owned restaurant due to the many tripadvisor suggestions we have read. We didn't get disappointed. Clearly, the Aima is not a luxury restaurant and the ambiance is "traditional", but as long as you stick to the (fresh) seafood you will get a nice meal. We ordered 400g fresh fish... More

We ate here often during our stay at the Taaras, frankly because the food in the hotel was so poor. We enjoyed the fresh fish, garlic and hot style, the noodle soup, and noodles. The staff are friendly and chatty, the only time to really engage with the locals.

We were lucky we managed to eat at this wonderful local restaurant the day before they would close for a while before their cultural celebrations. Prices much less expensive than the Taaras, and food is noticeably better. We ordered Butter fried Calamari, Grilled Prawns and Grilled Sea Bass (barramundi) in a garlic butter sauce. All the food was very fresh,... More

This restaurant serves very basic food. Not to be rude or anything but I really don't understand how people can rate this restaurant as amazing or fantastic. Even for local standards, it is very average. We only gave this place a try due to the recommendations and high ratings it has received. Service can be quite slow and dishes are... More

Enjoyed a lovely dinner of fish, prawns, stir fried garlic veggies and pineapple fried rice at this no frills local style restaurant. The menu offered lots of options for the cooking style and sauces with the seafood and there were basic chicken and beef stir fries as well. Service was good and prices reasonable. Just be aware there's no alcohol.
