I've travelled around Southeast Asia for more than 3 months, so I was looking for a place that felt like home. Taste of home is a lovely place next to a quiet road which leads to the hills. I was so tired of sitting in a reastaurant at the mainroad of Sairee Beach (which we did the days before) with... More

This place is wonderfully relaxed, comfortable and cozy. The place itself and the lady who runs it are true gems. Everything we tried was delicious, but highly recommend the Penang Chicken and the Burma Tea Salad.

The minute I found Taste of Home and started a conversation with chef/owner Ursula, aka Ushi, I knew that was no ordinary place. We wanted to break a little the Thai food with western flavors. We found what we were looking for and way more. Intimate restaurant where the owner is also the chef and the weiter. The dish were vary tasty and with a twist. I warmly recommend this place, go for the spicy meatballs, and mash potatos!

We had a delicious meal here and loved every dish. The owner is a wonderful host and she took great care of us. The ambiance here is absolutely great. A must visit if you're looking for an alternative to Thai / Asian food on the island.

Tasty home made food just the way I like it. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. This good lady has a good attitude and passion for the food she makes. She is walking the extra mile to make the experience a little special every time.

If you want to taste some divine homemade potatoes and chocolate mousse, then look no further! After eating Thai food for one and a half week our stomachs just couldn't take it anymore. We started longing after the good old Belgian meals, which we thought we would never find on Koh Tao. After three days of fantasizing about mashed potatoes... More
