Bar where you can watch amateur boxing (males and females) and drink buckets. A true classic of Phi Phi islands which you cannot miss (Me and my girlfriend loved it)
Bar where you can watch amateur boxing (males and females) and drink buckets. A true classic of Phi Phi islands which you cannot miss (Me and my girlfriend loved it)
This is a bar which features a ring in the centre where locals and tourists can choose to “fight” each other. This can be a mix of people from those having a bit of fun to pro boxers and must Thai fighters. It was a...decent night and we spent a couple of hours here one night. It is free entry but the drinks are a little pricer to make up for it I think.More
This needs to be rated 0 not 1. I was absolutely disgusted to stumble upon this place and do not recommend to ANYONE. One boxer suffered a serious injury that required resuscitation in the ring (03.12.22). Following failed attempts the individual was stretchered out and...a fellow tourist continued with mouth to mouth, with what looked like no success. This memory will 100% scar me for life and what sickens me the most is that following this event approx 10 minutes later (if that) the next fight was on in the ring. This place needs to be closed down. The last thing that should be encouraged is tourists fighting in this atmosphere for the prize of a free ‘bucket’. I sincerely hope that by some miracle this individual pulled through. Please do not promote this by spending your money here.More
Free entry, but must buy an expensive drink. Though a great place to spend the evening for some entertainment. Seeing locals and tourists fight. Good atmosphere here.
Watching the tourist fighting each other for free drinks is super funny and on the other hand you can see fight between guys from there and its really impressive!!! So you can have fun and see good fight too. Go there with no hesitation !
You gotta buy a drink to get in, the place is very crowded, but it is nice, you can fight if you want to and you are gonna win a bucket. There is also “real” fights to watch.
Entry in you have to buy a drink. Get there about 9 pm to get a good seat. They start fighting about 9.45 Pm. The crowd can volunteer to fight against others to win a bucket. Good entertainment.
Must do activity on Phi Phi Island! The professional Muay Thai fights start at 9pm and after about 30 minutes people from the crowd can volunteer to fight a professional Muay Thai boxer or another person from the crowd. You receive a free bucket if...you volunteer. If you are going to volunteer, I would suggest fighting one of your friends rather than another random from the crowd or a Muay Thai boxer as then there’s a smaller chance that your opponent would actually cause serious harm to you. Note that you HAVE to buy a drink to enter the bar. Had a lovely time watching the fights! I would highly recommend this activity!More
If you’re in phi phi then you’ve got to come to this place at least once! How many other bars have a ring in the middle for customers to have a Muay Thai bout?
I love this bar! The staff are friendly, the music is banging and you get to watch tourists fight each other. Even jump in the ring yourself after a few beers if you wish. It’s all done in great spirit and every fighter gets a...free bucket. They also have a huge burger eating competition. Finish it in 20mins and it’s for free! I did it in 17min 50seconds;) Been here a few times and it always holds the crowds well, will return CHeers!!!More
With a name like “Reggae Bar” this place is not what you would expect. It’s actually a Thai Boxing Ring with some version of a bar atmosphere around it. We came for the the reggae and drinks but did arrive in time for the “The...Fights” with a drink you can watch the Muay Thai amateurs for free. The crowd is also encouraged to participate in a fight with their friend or a stranger and get a free bucket of alcohol if you sign up. Was cool for first timers but got old after a couple of matches and drink selection was poor. Not bad to visit with a group of friends maybe just one time on phi phi islands. Staff was nice.More
This is a good way to finish your night here. It's a fun place. To entry it is necessary to buy something to drink. After that, you can seat and watch some fights in the ring. The place is full on the peak, so it's...better to get there before the fights begin . We arrived at 9:30 pm and it was ok. About the fights : There are several "professional" fights (like a show) and all the other ones are volunteers fights. We saw some very good. If you are a volunteer or accept another person fight, you'll get drink for free and will receive a medal. It’s funny ... like I said, I’ve never been in a place like that before.More
Definitely the first of its kind I have been to.. unique and good fun. I didn't like how it was compulsory to buy a drink to enter though..
It's a fun place. You can have a drink and watch the muay thai fights in the ring. The place is full on the peak, so it's better to get there before the fights begin (9 / 9:30 pm) to sit in the first row....There are several "professional" fights (it's a show like wrestling, so don't expect anything real) and amateur fights with volunteers. The latter are more fun to watch as the drunk guys punch for real. If you volunteer, you'll get drinks for free. The menu is overpriced, which is understandable as there is not entrance fee for the show.More
Where else in the world can you watch live Thai boxing for free and then they encourage the audience to take part. A brilliant night of good humoured fun for all the family.
