We found Cook Kai to be a very pleasant surprise. During low season, many restaurants are closed, including all but one in our resort. We tried Cook Kai fro lunch and liked it so much, we went back twice more, for breakfast and lunch. French Press coffee was great, both Thai and Western food very good, and the people are... More

We visited Ko Lanta at a time when the island is pretty much deserted and many restaurants and bars are closed. We thought that this restaurant might be the best of a bad nice but we were mistaken. It's was really great! It is typically Thai but what my boyfriend and I ate (we returned on another evening because it... More

we ordered 2 2 salamipizza's, tomatosoup, green salad, tuna salad en sizzling prawns in cocosause, from this only the pizza's were reasonably eatable. the rest was simply distasteful and below standards. soup tasted like glue, salads were white cabage with a few strips of carrot and onion and a standard supermarket dressing. the prawns were without taste... in the menubook... To be truthful this place was not the chosen one, however due to the original Irie restaurant being closed, I suspect for low season a short 10m walk brings you to Cook Kai. Shoes off at entrance, walk one flight of stairs to a big airy floor of many tables and cooling fans. Large choice of food that was good... More

Delicious food, very reasonably priced with plenty of choice on the menu. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the place itself was large and spacious, although fairly quiet when I was there as it was low season. They do accept credit cards. There are plenty of places along the same stretch of road but this felt very clean, food... More

Very good setting and spacious and clean. No flies which is a big plus for us. The food was good, tasty and enjoyable. Just that the price a bit steep otherwise we'd comes everyday for sure

Great place, hands down the best prawn toast in the world! We had starters (delicious spring rolls too!) followed by A curry and a stir fried beef dish, all the food was spot on. Service on the slower side but its a lovely setting so we were in no rush! Well priced, wish we had time to go back.

Decent food at a decent price! Just down the road from our accommodation in long beach so have visited also for breakfast a few times. The staff make this place! They are very welcoming and friendly

There were 3 big bugs cooked into my girlfriend's and my separate dishes (assuming this means the uncooked food is left crawling in it and then they just cook them with the bugs in), my local friend described rats running around the building. We have been ill after eating here, for the first time in 4 weeks in thailand (including... More
