Very relaxing, welcoming and homely. The owners are very nice and even invited me to come back later for their bbq which sounded delicious! Nice to have a quiet coffee on the beach.

My wife and I had kicked around the island for a few weeks before running into Michael, and then spending the day at the new Asylum restaurant/bar/cafe/yoga studio. Michael and May are fantastic hosts. The food is excellent, easily the best Mexican on the island,...More

We were fortunate to be able to spend a month on Koh Lanta, and especially fortunate to find The Asylum. It is now located on the beautiful Klong Dao beach rather than in Lanta Old Town, which must make it difficult for people who want...More

I visited this place everyday while I was on Koh Lanta. The owners Michael and May were awesome. They were both funny, nice, and helpful. They also had that knack for making everyone feel like you had a special connection with them. The food was...More
