We often stop here when visiting family in the area and it's always fantastic. The huge river prawns are the specialty - they are a sought after delicacy, reasonably priced by local standards and always perfectly cooked, but definitely the top end of their menu....If ordering these, make sure you understand the pricing per kg, as the largest monsters will be over 1/2 kg each. The rest of the menu is also superb, and actually better value if you're watching the budget. Smaller prawns, a really interesting selection of different river fish - can be ordered fried, steamed, or in various Thai curries. The Hor Mok steamed fish curry is particularly good. Lots of spicy Thai salads and soups, of course. Lotus stems are a nice choice of vegetable. It's a lovely place to enjoy an afternoon of eating and watching the Chao Phraya river flow by, and worth the 1 hour drive from Bangkok.More
