Absolute delight.... and yes after you have had dinner here anything that you have heard or read will seem little... a suggestion would be to reach here by 7 or 7:30 in the evening, you will be able to avoid the rush. It has an old historical look and feel... Just isnt their food great, they serve it with ultimate... More

The food was typically yummy Amritsar food with desi ghee preparations. It was located on lanes in old amritsar. Had a problem finding it . But the food was mouth watering. It was all vegetarian . Dal makhani is too good. Opposite try the phirni in earthen pots.

Difficult to access and not up to scratch! Apples to apples, the black daal & parathas do not cut-it when compared with "Bhrawan da Dhaba." Also, not as much stress on hygiene and cleanliness, nor the length of opening timings compare.

This is more than 100 years old Vegetarian Dhaba (eating place) in the heart of the old city, it’s called, “KESAR DA DHABA”. They serve authentic North Indian cuisine in this Dhaba having unique taste which you will love. The best items are Dal Makhani, Tandoori Paratha and Firni for sweet dish. Food here is great but be ready for... More

The palak paneer is a must-try, as are the stuffed parathas. Save some room for the phirni, sinfully thick, with the consistency of freshly made fudge.

Reaching Kesar Da Dhaba involves a long walk through narrow, filthy alleys of Amritsar and at times I am sure you would even wonder where the hell you are going to end up! The ambience is really cool which gives you a real traditional feel. They are known for their parantha thalis and we also ordered the same. Parathas and... More

One of the best places I have ever eaten. I decided to order naan thalis as they were pretty famous for those. Also, to go with the thalis, I ordered sweet lassi. First came the lassi and once I tasted it , I couldn't stop. It was so good. The right amount of sweet, not too thick, just right. And... More

I visited this place with my family for dinner after reading the reviews. It is located in narrow lane and the restaurant itself was too crowded. The place is old and lacks hygiene. The food though was tasty with lot of butter.

This Restaurant which claims to be 100 years old. The hygienic condition leaves much to be desired. The quality of food was average and we were served with charred rotis. Altogether it is a highly overrated eatery.
