Our dive guide recommended this restaurant as one of the best places to eat in the West End area and the food didn't disappoint. Everyone at our table loved the food. I had the jerk chicken which was fantastic. The table service was better than many of the other restaurants in the area -- everyone operates on island time so you just have to be a little patient.

Anthony's is known for its jerk and bbq chicken, for good reason, but we also had the whole grilled fish (twice) which was amazing! Yikes, hope those weren't one of the ones swimming with us while we were diving! The red beans and rice were wonderful and they substituted veggies for us in place of the plantains for a small added fee - well worth it. The owners are lovely and we had a very enjoyable meal!

The food was excellent! EXCELLENT! I asked around and the locals sent me here. Forget about the #1 rated restaurant in West End unless you want “good” food, “romantic” atmosphere, and higher prices. The prices at Anthony’s are reasonable. The food was seasoned perfectly! The portions are a nice size. Again, EXCELLENT! I had the jerk chicken, rice and beans, and fried plantain (do yourself a solid and ask for sweet fried plantain) and all mouth watering. My cousin had the grilled pork chop will same sides. Definitely returning!

It was okay. I had friend fish, beans and rice with garlic potatoes. Nothing was seasoned. The beans were coconut flavor & sweet (not a fan) no real seasoning. My husband had fish sandwiches and fries. It was mostly batter on the thin fish with unmelted america slice cheese. The fries were previously frozen but both were seasoned better. The service was not okay. No one was in there when I went to look at the drink fridge she (the owner) handed me my husband’s beer said give it to him. When he asked for a togo box for me. He was eating she told him to come get it. There was absolutely no one in the restaurant but us. It was suppose to be $40 she told us 41. 2 beers $5 each, fish plate $18, fish sandwich $12. We tipped anyway. She charged us an extra dollar which isn’t a big deal just a bit shady. I wouldn’t go back.

Damn good jerk chicken, awesome bean and rice, and would’ve been one of the cheaper dinners in the island but now that I’ve caught on I realize that if you pay with lempiras the staff here (and at least one other place) will try and rip you off. They charged me 360 lempiras for $9 plate (should be 225 lempiras). Damn good jerk chicken though!

Another excellent jerk chicken meal at Anthony's. For $9 usd, you get 3 pieces of chicken spiced to your preference , rice and beans, plantains or garlic potatoes, and pico. The chicken falls off of the bone, and the flavor is wonderful. We make a point of dinner here each year, and we have never been disappointed. A must-do!

Great food, very friendly host, inexpensive too! Highly recommend. The Jerk Chicken with Rice and Beans was amazing, and with 2 Cokes, my bill was only $11.00 US. Ordered my chicken medium spicy since it was my first time here, and it was spicy enough for me. Heard some concerns about the wait, but during this visit (at 1230pm) my order took about 15 minutes. Right on West End Road with a great view of the water.

We enjoyed the $7 jerk chicken plates with garlic potatoes, beans and rice multiple times during our trip. The food is hot, fresh and wonderful with the best chicken we found in Roatan. The price is so reasonable. The view of the water across the street is beautiful. We love this place and the owners are so sweet.

The meal we ate at Anthony’s was the best meal we ate during our week in Roatan. All of the food was amazing and the staff were all very friendly and kind. Great price as well compared to some other places we ate. I am ready to go back to Roatan to eat here again!

Probably the best deal on the island - 3 pieces of dark meat chicken, rice & beans, and garlic potato slices for $9. The chicken was definitely good, but I had heard so many people raving about it that I guess I expected something more. I expected the jerk flavor to be stronger. Maybe we are just used to eating buffalo wings or barbeque chicken. It was still very good. We had the spicy, the medium, and the mild. Spicy was definitely spicy, not pretend spicy. I carry around habanero powder to add spice to all of my food, but it was not necessary here. Not super hot, but definitely had a kick. The mild not only lacked any heat, but also seemed to be lacking jerk flavor too. Interestingly, I thought they had the best beans and rice on the island. You could actually taste the coconut.

Rossy and Anthony are a couple that runs this typical Roatan “hole in the wall” restaurant. They are located in the picturesque West End. They ah e a regular menus with fried fish , chicken and burgers. But there is a secret. They will cook anything you want on demand. And it will be perfect. And the prices will still be close to their regular menus. We asked and had cooked for us a lobster dinner with three nice lobster tails on each plate for only $20 a plate. This one we ordered the night before and they purchased fresh lobsters for us in the morning. We had steamed fish for the same price as fried fish, we had a wonderful seatood soup that they made of us for $15 each. A very generous and filling size bowl accompanied by homemade plantain paste balls called “Machuka”. Highly recommend to stop by and try their barbecue chicken they grill on a wood grill inside the restaurant. But if you like something special just order it for you next lunch or dinner.

We went there on a Monday with 8 people. Average busy. They brought our meals out one by one over the course of an hour and 15 minutes and I'm not making this up. Our appetizer came out between the 7th and 8th dinner and we finally got so tired of waiting we got up to leave and asked for our check. The 8th dinner (Quesadilla) came out while we were paying. About six other tables were served dinner during this time span, most of which ordered well after we did. I have never seen more clueless people in a restaurant.

The place doesn’t look like much, bright lights, plastic chairs - but don’t let that stop you. Very, very good food and really reasonable prices. We had mixed ceviche to start, shared among 4 of us. Served with the BEST plantain I have ever had. Made fresh right there, it came warm, mmmm. And I don’t like plantain! $15 for 2 lobster tails, my grilled chicken was $8, fresh pico de gayo as a side, along with coconut rice and beans, hubby had the veggies instead of the pico - they were cooked al dente, very nice.

I’ll keep this short: Anthony’s is worth your money. The jerk chicken is insanely good. The large garlic shrimp dinner fed two hungry adults for around $15. Stop reading this and go buy one or the other of those two.

Jerk chicken is their specialty, and you can tell when you taste it! You get a choice of spiciness, and yes, the picante is hot! It comes with beans and rice (combined) and they are so good! They have such a good flavor...maybe a touch of cinnamon?? Also comes with a side of Pico de Gallo and a choice of garlic potatoes or plantains. Highly recommend!
