I went with gamily and friends that love mid east food. I know that the owner is a very good chef, but it seems that the plates are not made it the restaurant itself and lacked the top class of ingredients needed; the service was poor.

Everything is good there, the only bad thing I can say about that place is that is closed on Mondays. I've been there several times and order almost everything and it's always delicious.

If you are in need of different food and happen to be in Guayaquil, then La Taberna is for you! Tastes and smells from another continent.

Mediterranean food is my favorite, its perfect for vegetarians! I live in Cuenca and coming from NYC, I really miss the diversity of cuisines I was accustomed to. Every time I go to Guayaquil, I make the trip to Samborondón for the only decent falafel I've tasted since being in Ecuador. And not just decent but delicious with just the... More

Probably the best Mediterranean restaurant in town, there is a large Lebanese community in Guayaquil but people usually enjoyed a good meal only at home or at the Lebanese Club in town. This was the first place to offer top quality Lebanese food to a broader audience. A must try is the rice with lamb, espectacular! All the mezzas are... More

I love this place. Everything is amazing and on top of that the owners will sit down and talk to you about life, love and food. The best combination ever. This time that I went as a vegan( well I try to be). So I had my doubts about going again. But for my surprise they have a vegan things.... More

we went to this place since it was ranked very high, even though its far away from city center and only the taxi is $6 each way. The service was not good, although we were almost the only ones, the atmosphere just was not there at all, and most important- the food was bad: it was ALL (Humus, salad, baba... More

So ... this place is rated #1 in Guayaquil. Perhaps I had pretty high expectations. The restaurant is located in the upscale area of Sambrorondon. Yes, it's nice and pretty with a fabulous outdoor seating area. Lebanese food is not that expensive to create. $8 for Baba ganoush or humus. Hmmmm ... yes, I ordered it because I love it.... More

I believe that Mrs. Nader's cooking has no rival whatsoever in town. Quality is its namesake. I try to go there a few times a year because it is a little expensive but every time I finish eating any of its mezza, I just don't care how much I've gotta pay for them. Kibbeh nayeh is just to die for.... More
