Good, clean, fancy restaurant in Samborondon. Their specialty is red crab but they do have different dishes even if you dont like crab. If you like crab but you dont like to work to get to the food just ask about the "specialties". Love the place, staff is really nice and they are very friendly.

We took a cab for our hotel to the supposedly great crab restaurant. I asked for the red crab special, expecting a whole crab, this was not the case when my meal arrived it was rice with salad and supposedly crab meat, which was non existent. Told the waiter he could.not of cared less.. I do wish that these restaurants... More

Food was a little better than average, service was really bad , 8 waiters spent the evening in front of the table watching the football game on the tv that was next to my table, they were loud and unpleasant. No manager to tell them to go back to work, very expensive for quality of food and service. Go do... More

We visited between lunch and dinner. The menu was easy to use with a great variety in each section. We decided to get dishes to share. We had the Crab to begin. It came in a bowl with sauce and we had a hammer to crack it open. Unnerving on a glass plate but we were ok! Delicious. Next we... More

We were in Guayaquil during crab season and wanted to try local crab. Red Crab was a good choice, offering several tasty options including garlic sauce and pesto. The "special" version means the crab is already shelled and in the sauce. Without the "special". It's served in the shell with a hammer to crack it open. I recommend cracking it... More

I must acknowledge I was not astonished by the taste of Ecuadorian food. Having enjoyed Spanish (South, but specially North) Atlantic one, taste of Pacific shellfish and other delicacies is hard to match the standard. But in all, food was tasteful, staff was kind and quick, and price was convenient.

Loved the sea food here. The crab was moist and succulent. Read my full review of this restaurant in my blog: http://www.madaboutdeetravel.com/2015/07/restaurant-red-crab-guayaquil-yum-says.html
