This restaurant was recommended by a local host and we were not disappointed. This was the best meal we had on our stay in Trogir: beautifully cooked food with imagination. I particularly liked the carpaccio classico with wonderfully tender beef, toasted almonds and truffle oil....The service was attentive without being overwhelming.More

We had some great meals all throughout Croatia and I did my research beforehand to pick out the best places. Konoba Trs was just one notch above all of the other excellent restaurants. I give it this rating for the atmosphere (you are sitting in...what feels like a grape vine) the service by Dario which was outstanding and he deserves many compliments for creating the perfect dining experience for us. And the food is just "Wow". Since we had already been out to dinner so many times, I wanted to eat a little less, but boy, I could have picked everything on the menu. The scallop crudo starter was out of this world. Then we each had a pasta dish, I ordered the Spaghetti with sea urchin and my husband selected the Istria pasta with steak and truffles. OMG, so delicious. A memorable meal on all accounts. My husband then ordered the tiramisu dessert (which of course I had to taste) and it was beyond special in both taste and presentation. It looked like a peach and yet tasted every bit of a tiramisu. Kudos to the food scene in Croatia and Konoba Trs is at the top of the list!More

Some of the best food in the area and one you should book in advance to make sure you get a table. This was our last night in Trogir and a fitting way to cap off our trip. There's a great pride in the sourcing...of local produce and a marvellous warmth to the team. The beetroot ta tartar was beautifully balanced and the octopus cooked to perfection. Elegant playing of the food and worth the expense.More

We were seated on an enclosed terrace, really a big room with no roof, but no breeze, and it was warm. We were five, got nice table , plenty of room. We stuck to seafood and vegetarian, excellent food for both. One star lost for...over-attentive waiter, clearing dishes while some of us were still eating [please don't do this!]. We lingered over desert and coffee with no further pressure.More

The staff was proffessional, winę perfectly matched with dishes. Octopus was perfect, but unfortunately lamb dissaponted us, it was cold, pea puree tasteless. Tiramisu variation good for the eyes bad for the palate. DISAPPOINTING

Beautiful setting for excellent food and service 8 of us dined here to celebrate a friend’s birthday It was our last night in Croatia. We had the wonderful Dario as our server. The food was amazing. For appetizers the shrimp Was the standout but all...three were excellent. The sesame and olive bread were a nice touch For entrees , most of the table had the beef and truffle pasta and everyone loved it. We also ordered the duck ( best ever) the lamb and the octopus. Very unique presentations and very tasty we had three desserts and I think the semifreddo was the big hit. Thank you Konoba TRS for making our last night in Croatia so specialMore

Perhaps we just chose the wrong dishes but given the Michelin recommendation this was a disappointing meal. Two of the dishes were frankly of canteen ('school') food standard. The pralines were slightly greasy deep-fried fish balls some trout roe on top. We would never have...guessed there were prawns/monkfish inside: could have been anything. The 'carbonara' was even more disappointing: I could have constructed this from a Heinz can of spaghetti in tomato sauce with a fish stock cube and (far too much) parmigiano. No sign of the advertised sea urchin. Very pricey and way below standard of competitors (eg Mare, Alka, Toma)More

A bit dissappinted about this place. A cozy place and the food was really good. However the service was a bit below average. When we got our food the waiter did not present what se got, and never came to ask if everything was ok...or if we would like something to drink.More

I had the prailine as an appetizer and it tasted god, but besides a nice presentation felt like something i could've ordered from a fast food restaurant. The Sea urchin pasta had strong and distinctive flavours, but somewhat unbalanced. My girlfriend was more satisfied with...the food and was particularly happy with the beetroot tartare. The service on the other hand was horrible and the waiter we had was rude. He served my main first and left my girlfriend waiting for a long time while he served another table. He was unattentive and careless. To top it of he basically asked me to tip him and said that service was not included. Also very hot and humid despite all the fans.More

Lovely courtyard, between creamy old stone walls, with vines overhead. Very picturesque, authentic & a lovely ambience to spend your evening in. The food was delicious. The only cooked starter is the prawn pralines (deep fried balls) The most interesting one was the marinated shrimps....The beetroot was a surprising huge hit, for the person who doesn't even really like beetroot, but didn't want a fish starter! Mains were really well flavoured - nothing bland or disappointing here. We had sea urchin carbonara, seafood risotto, truffle & steak pasta, octopus tentacles. All delicious. For the octopus, it's served with rice crackers, & definitely needs these for some crunch & texture. There is a lot of puree /sauce elements on this dish, & extra bread is a good idea to be able to mop up. Even better if it came as toasted, for crunch! We would have all welcomed some dressed greens / green veg garnish on the side, as part of each dish, to alleviate the carbs, rather than having to order a side to get this. (we didn't) Service was absolutely excellent. Very charming, knowledgeable & friendly. Always watchful - you only had to look around, & someone came straight away. We were in very good hands. Also, generous - we weren't charged for extra bread, to mop up the delicious sauces. And because we were so full, & only ordered 3 of the 4 desserts, they brought us the 4th dessert anyway, free, to try. Food was average price by Croatia standards for good quality, which means way more expensive than Dublin prices, everywhere we've been!! Starters were €12 - €20, mains €23 for pasta to €40 for steak. A bottle of wine, as most other places, starts in high €20s & goes upwards. Ours was recommended for us, & suited the foods really well.More

This was our favourite meal by far in 10 days of visiting many highly rated restaurants on the Croatian coast. The flavour and the originality of the food was amazing and the service was unforgettable. Would give it 6 stars if I could.
