Have been travelling through Croatia for the last 4 weeks and only stopped at Trogir for couple nights on the way home. As this place was rated number 1 on TA, we thought we'd give it a go As soon as our starters arrived we knew we weren't going to be disappointed... Without doubt some of the best food I've... More

Visited Togrir and stumbled upon this place with a TA recommendation in the front. Now I am passing on the recommendation to others! The quality of the food is absolutely great, and the prices are absolutely reasonable when comparing to the quality. My husband had a local dish while I enjoyed a fish and shellfish dish. Had panna cotta with... More

We came early, but had to leave before we could order and the friendly waiter reserved a table for us an hour later. Really friendly service and amazing food. Must visit if you want to eat good in trogir.

Good tasting food and nice service, but too small portions at least for me. Price is not the cheapest so you would expect a little more value for money. More for "fine dining".

In the heart of Trogir, in a small alley, this place offers great service and professional staff. Food was great. Sea platter for two is recommended!

Tuna tartar was a very good starter. I had grilled tuna for main dish. It was good but next time I order it I will ask to have it rare. We had early dinner and felt it was very child friendly.

There are lots of places to eat in Trogir, but tucked in the old city and not on a main through route, the Vanjaka is just perfect. Not a large restaurant but with tables inside and out the choice is yours. We had lunch there, a sea food tagliatelle, with a few beers, great food and great staff, can't fault... More

Description
Restaurant Vanjaka is a respectable member of the Trogir gastronomic family. It is situated on the Radovan Square, in the east part of the town, right by the Saint Lawrence cathedral. Classy, sacral and aristocratic architectural surroundings have set the standards of this place high and it was a real challenge to meet them. Vanjaka is a contemporary home to a traditional dalmatian cousine and wine. Freshness, local origin and optimal nutritional value are the strict criteria by which we choose groceries to make the meals from our menu. Seasonal fruits ripped in nearby gardens, fish caught from small fishing boats of Trogir and meat from locally raised animals are combined professionally and with love. Meals made by recipes with a hundred year tradition in the Vanjaka restaurant can please the gourmand taste of a modern guest, and the wine card offers a variety of Croatian wines.
