Alka does not deserve its reputation. Yes, the setting is OK, the staff is professional, but the food is a disaster. We were a party of 6. The 3 ladies took a St Pierre( John Dory). The fish was smelling mud, sludge. We were lucky as our meals were eatable. This was not their evening, as our nearest guests returned... More

First impressions were great, they took us and our baby buggy up 2 flights of stairs onto the rooftop terrace, a romantic setting. Stunning place. I would highly recommend this place. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Cocktails were made really well too. Would recommend a visit if your budget lets you.

No words can do this fantastic restaurant true justice - wonderful food, wine, atmosphere, quality of service and the sheer artistry of Marco. Never disappointed - thank you Ante, thank you Marco and the team. Xx John & Cathy xxx

Walking around in Trogir, it was obvious that Alka was one of the most popular restaurants there. Always full house, very busy waiters, and even within Trogir's Top Ten on Tripadvisor :) And, in my opinion, the most overrated one. The atmosphere was pleasant, the waiters were polite, the food was delicious, but the prices... I am not against high... More

We ate on the terrace and service was good. We were a party of four and three of us ate very well. Personally my veal liver was overcooked and it was the only blight on our evening! Everything else was lovely. In typically English fashion I said nothing and ate about half. I probably should have said something but chickened... More

Best fish we had anywhere during our 11-day stay in Croatia. The sea bass was prepared simply, with simple vegetables on the side. Our server was also great, funny and attentive. Great location in the middle of Trogir, not in one of the many restaurants overlooking parking areas on the outskirts. One thing to remember is "shrimp cocktail" doesn't seem... More
