This is one of our favourite Croatian restaurants. Balanced with such amazing food, service and ambiance. After 13 years of visiting Rovinj via our sailing boat we are just so so very sad not to visit this year😩if you are lucky enough to be in...Rovinj this restaurant is a “must” visit. The shellfish Pasta dish is “amazing”More

very nice cosy restaurant located in city center, away from crowded places, excellent for nice evening with friends where you can enjoy esqusit foods and good company. The staff is excellent and I suggest to follow their recommendation in choosing dishes. We eat a fish,...but local old style recipes and that was more than amazing. We drunk local wine but specially produced for that restaurant, we did not missed!. Highly recommended. You must try that experiences.More

Why this restaurant is not number one I do not know! The food is incredible and the prices are very reasonable. They have a fantastic selection of wine, especially the local wine. All staff are charming and efficient. Sadly, we only came to eat here...on the second to last night but we made sure to eat here again tonight and it did not disappoint. The Istrian seafood pasta and truffle ravioli are to die for! Make sure to try the Mille fogile (dessert - deconstructed custard slice but better). We never have dessert in restaurants, but felt intrigued given the quality of the starters/mains, and it was delicious. A real restaurant experience - they really know their trade. We cannot wait to be back soon.More

A beautiful Italian seafood restaurant located in one of the old laneways in Rovinj. You're able to select some of the best whole fresh fish in Rovinj that is cooked to perfection and then filleted at the table by one of the waiters. We enjoyed...a delightful steak dish, which melted in your mouth. A very extensive wine list covering Croatia, Austria and some other gems. A glass each of the Summer Brut 2020 was a great start to the evening, exclusive to Giannino. We also enjoyed a lovely bottle of Pinot from one of our favourite Croatian wineries Tomac. A perfect restaurant for date night or with a group of friends. Service was impressive, and very warm and friendly.More

Decent seafood and fish on a nice terrace with excellent service. Try the catch of the day and trust the recommendations of the staff - it‘s worth! Reservation is necessary.

Just returned from 3 days in Rovinj and we dined twice at Giannino's. This low key but delicious restaurant is located on a quiet street in old Rovinj. The food is Croatian with an Italian influence. You can get lots of fresh seafood dishes and...pasta too.The atmosphere is bright and cheerful. Make reservations - this place fills up with a combo of locals and tourists. Our first night was magical - although the restaurant was filled we got great, attentive and friendly service. The second time we attended the restaurant made the mistake of putting all of the guests into one room (although there are 3 distinct dining areas) - this lead to an experience where we were all a bit squished together and the service was more frenetic and less friendly. I do, however, recommend Giannino's and I do think you'll eat quite well there.More

We had no trouble getting a table quickly with no reservation, but it was off season (end of September), so that may not hold true in the busy season - it was mostly full. We sat out on the street patio. The waiter recommended local...wine, which was good. We had pastas to start, both of which were very good, followed by mixed fried fish. If you like fried fish, you will like the variety and quality of the dish, which included calamari and other kinds of fish I am not familiar with. Good location, easy walk from where we were staying, just outside of the old town.More

Showed up to a packed house. Tried to explain that we would gladly wait for a table to 3 different people. They kept telling us to try tomorrow, it could be a 30 minute wait. Less than 5 minutes later a table opened. Strange. Ordered...pasta with shrimp and scallops. Small serving and even smaller scallops. I have trimmed fingernails larger. Tasted good though.ordered a steak plate- very tough. They brought bread - never asked for and charged for it. Added a liter of house wine. Bill came to $65 usMore
