About
The history of Rivica is a story of a generational devotion to hospitality and restaurant business. It is a story of passion, hard work, and persistence. At the same time, it is a story of the consistency of general values and changes that come with each new generation or a new period of time, that are reflected in the plates, in the glasses, and in the smiles of our guests. The story begins in 1934 with nona Mara and nono Ivo, when they decided to open a BED AND BREAKFAST in a small fishing village for elite guests from the former "k.U.K." (Kaiserlich und koniglich - Austro - Hungarian Monarchy) and provide them with a hedonistic experience of Kvarner and the Island of Krk, two destinations

The food got worse. The beef soup was below average. The waiters are not particularly polite. They'll give you the worst table without apologising although you are a regular customer. The distance between tables is too small. The prices are high. The beefstake is average...at best and the vegetables are soaked in oil. The wild fish is still very well prepared but they also offer fish from the farm and it is shown together with the wild fish. I think it's time to look for another place to eat if you are a foodie.More

A poshy local restaurant. We went in, took an uncleaned table, because all other tables were full. They said we would need to stand up and wait outside until its clean. Never again.

For a restaurant that claims to have a tradition and high quality, it is inadmissible to put fried squid rings and fried sardines on a fish plate! Besides, the mussels were small and dry. Total dissapointment. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Everything was perfect, appetizers, main course, desserts and their home wine along with the impeccable service. Don’t think, just go for it :)

We went to Rivica for lunch and it was amazing! We had fish pate for appetizers and spaghettata with scampi for our main meal. The portions were great. For dessert we had a mix of little sweets. Rozata, lemon and forest fruit flavors. Also we...had cucumber gin and I highly recommend you try it! Also, the staff was very friendly and had great recommendations for food and wine. Definitely will come again! 💙More

Having seen the reviews of the restaurant i had somewhat higher expectations. Unfortunately they haven’t been met. We were seated by a friendly waiter whom recommended a nice aperitif. ( so far so good) . After which they kept changing the waiters throughout the service..., it made the experience a bit disorganised. We were then handed 2 different menus , supposedly one with the specials and one standard however . This made it very confusing as dishes would overlap and it wasn’t really clear which were starters and which were the main courses. We chose the ham / cheese platter ( nothing special at all) and the the tuna starter. The tuna starter would consist of a tartare and sashimi. 4 really tiny pieces of sashimi and a very small portion of what looked like tartare that had gone through a mincer twice. This is not how you serve a proper tartare. As a main course we ordered the Surlice with prawns , Makaroni with goulash, and grouper . The sauce of the surlice pasta and prawns as well as the makaroni with goulash was really bland , these are supposedly local specialties but they lacked flavor and inspiration. We didn’t finish the plates. The grilled grouper was ok, it did however come with rice whereas i had asked for risotto instead of the potatoes. My youngest daughter got the schnitzel with fries , she seemed happy enough with the dish. This was over all a disappointing experience, we expected more from a place that distinguishes itself as being a bit more upmarket.More

The food is very delicious but be prepared to pay a higher price. The waiters are very nice and kind. The scallops were absolutely delicious.Everything we ate was good but if you stop here don’t miss the homemade pasta with shrimps. It tasted fantastic even...the shrimps were not the best quality.More

So, that was unbeliveble! We didn't know who is our waiter. Everyone in a hurry. Like a sprint! We came in 7 pm. It was 7:50 and we already finished our aperitive, wine, appetizer and main course. Unbeliveble! Food was fine. Service was bad. Didn't...enjoy.More
