To be quite honest, I cannot compare the food quality and the service with Michelin star restaurant in the island of Pag. Since I've been here before and I do remember how exquisite were the meals and how was the whole experince was organized. It's...not like that anymore.
We were a party of six and went for 7 course degustation with wine pairing.
Wine choice..not so great.
Waiters were spiling wine every time when filling the glasses.
This place has lost the touch they had before.More
As a Michelin star restaurant, you have some basic expectations, which was not close to be met here.
We took a overnight package with room, dinner And breakfast.
After arriving and having drink on beautiful Terasse, asking staff to see wine list , in order...to be ready for dinner.
Got winelist and decided for preferred wines .
After arriving to dinner later on, wanted to order the wines, but first waiter said sorry please talk to colleague , who then came and we then again asked for chosen wines , which they didn’t (are, second chosen White wine they also didn’t have and we had to take 3rd. Same with red wines, where 2 first was “sold out “ so had to take 3 rd choice ( say upfront if wines sold out or show it on wine card at least )
Food was in best case average - starters nice, but main course ( Istria meat ) was very chewy .
After dinner drinks - again could not get zacapa rum , even on menu .....
Rooms average, no update for long time .
Breakfast very nice
So all in alll - beautiful view, but not worth the price for the dinner and stayMore
It was June 28th, me and the misses were just leaving our getaway without kids from Opatija/Bevanda, but were sincerely surprised by the utmost serenity of the place, and unpar quality of the food. Staff was excellent, even understood my ponderings about their sourdough bread,...and were polite enough to share their starter. In all recommendations, this is not only a Michelin star restaraunt in Croatia, it’s a representation of what Croatia can be at its best, and that there are individuals capable of bringing her forward to a worldwide level. Loved the hake and the gurnard. Compromising with conventions is never a representation of quality and prosperity for local produce. It contrast it was by far the best hake I’ve had in my life, without having to explain why I just loved it.
The visit is a must have, I can say this without prejudice, but those of you booking in Bevanda, consider this restaraunt in contrast. It’s 15 min out by car, and it will make you fee like you should have done this on the first day already.More
Amazing food even more amazing people. I first visited Draga di Lovrana in 2019 and was wowed by the food. This year I have stayed in their hotel for a few days, giving myself time to taste all there food. It was my best holiday...ever, outstanding food, spectacular views and amazing people.More
Top gastronomy according to the Michelin star, beautifull ambience, the room are clean and spacious, and the service is frendly.
A breathtaking view of the entire Kvarner.
Perfect place to escape for two!
More than just a food, it was a great food experience. We had a 7-course tasting menu, loved the cold starters and the wine tasting menu. If you want an amazing food experience you must give it a try, and special thanks to Marko -he...was good fun and very professional approachMore
