Welcome to the family tavern, which in 1974 founded our grandpa Cvijo. Adio Mare has been awarded in 2018 by Gault&Millau with two tocques! The dishes you will taste are prepared with lot of love, effort and experience. Our chef asks for your patience while you wait for your meal as it is prepared with fresh Korčula ingredients and is cooked on the authentic barbecue. The first section of our restaurant is the central part of the tavern with kitchen with six tables from 1974. In the second section there are two large tables suitable for 14 guests each, and they are placed in the beautiful setting of an old shipbuilding workshop. The tools used in this workshop can still be seen today on the

Excellent food, very high quality
We had the octopus salad as a starter.
Very tasty ad fresh. As a main course ai had the home made pasta with shrimps and my partner the grilled squid. Everything is actually local and cooked with love.
We were so disappointed with this restaurant. It came highly recommended by friends and reviewers alike so we were surprised that every dish we ordered was poorly made. It seemed like everything was prepared well in advance, either out of the fridge or reheated. To...start we ordered the beef carpaccio which came cold, on a cold plate with a filmy mayonnaise. The salad we ordered was also cold, in a cold bowl with cold spoons and forks. We thought perhaps, as this is the specialty, that our whole grilled fish would be good and it not only tasted and smelled very fishy, but had a gummy texture as if it was reheated. The grilled vegetables on the side also did not seem recently grilled, but reheated.
It may be due to being at the end of the season after a very rough summer economically, but we walked away with a bad taste in our mouths.More

Dear Cara K,
We are sorry to see that you we not satisfied with your first visit to our family restaurant. From your review we see that your primary concern was the temperature of the plates. If you read other reviews you will see that...More
We were very tired after a day of kayaking in Korcula, and so the lovely terrace of Adio Mare was a great place to relax after all that.
On the waiter's recommendation, we ordered the fish of the day which was red snapper - which...turned out to be the standout dish of our entire holiday. It was SO good! We also tried the cuttlefish risotto which was very tasty (lacks the richness of Spanish 'Arroz Negro' which I compared it to, but very good nonetheless.)
Prices here are mid to high range, but the restaurant does feel upmarket when you are in there, and food is worth it. Service is a little businesslike and could be warmer, but it didn't really bother us - and they are very busy so understandable.
Make sure you book though - we had to book and go on our last night in Korcula as tried the first night and they were full!More
We have visited this place on couple of occasions and every time we were greeted by friendly staff and served perfect seafood. I would definatelly recommend visiting this restaurant. Can't recommend any perticular dish from the menu as everything is perfect!
The service here is amazing, especially Dario and Mateo!
Octopus salad was so soft and tasty, i recommend it! The tartar of white fish was good, in my opinion it was a little bit too slightly spicy.
The main dish was perfect, one of the...best squids i have ever eaten! Homemade makaruni were great too.
Cheesecake in a glass was absolutely delicious, i highly recommend this one.More
We had little time for dinner, but ate the best grilled fish (Dorada) with garlic during our holiday in Croatia at this restaurant.
Combined with good french fries and good service at a reasonable price.
Food was fine but service was broadly disappointing. In particular, one waiter seemed a bit unwilling to serve my gay friend and he felt uncomfortable. Would recommend other places for service to western and diverse tourists.
