Unfortunately I was disappointed as I had been looking forward to this recommended restaurant. My food was expensive and relatively mediocre. I had the chefs special starter which perhaps I shouldn’t but it was less than special. A shameMore

We ate late afternoon and was able to get a table but for the evening you need to book. We ordered from the daily specials menu and had the mixed fish hot/cold platter followed by lobster and macaroni. The food was excellent. The rooftop terrace...More

I recommend you book a table on the rooftop part of the restaurant. It is a superb location. Audio Mare is a very popular restaurant and was very busy on the night of our visit. The menu is somewhat limited. Which seems to be the...More

Adio Mare is a great friendly restaurant with helpful staff with a good selection of quality food served in atmospheric surroundings in the centre of Korcula town next to the church

The island is a tourist haunt, and with little repeat business standards can drop. However, this was a beacon of light in a sea of mediocrity! Seated outside, efficient service takes you through the day’s catch. Everything was freshly and expertly cooked- I particularly liked...More

Dear Nick, Thank you for a detailed review and for experiencing Adio Mare as "fine dining". This is something we are proud of! Squids are from our Korčula region and we have a fisherman specialized just for squids. When most of other fishermans are searching...More

We had a wonderful table at their rooftop dining area overlooking the many beautiful sites of Korcula. Everyone loved their meal. The Marko Polo risotto seemed to be the biggest hit; however you can never go wrong with the fresh fish of the day at...More

First of all, you have to appreciate the peerless setting, on a rooftop terrace, overlooking the campanile and the Marko Polo House, with swallows diving over the terracotta-tiled rooftops. The food lives up to this. We had the shared fish platter, with an array of...More

We enjoyed a great lunch (salad, grilled fish...) with an excellent Grk white wine from the neighbouring Lumbarda. You can choose to eat inside in the cool caveroom or on the top floor terrace. Excellent advice as regarding wines (great choice).

Yes. The restaurant only has around forty covers on its terrace and both evenings we were there it was fully booked.

Description
Welcome to the family tavern, which in 1974 founded our grandpa Cvijo. Adio Mare has been awarded in 2018 by Gault&Millau with two tocques! The dishes you will taste are prepared with lot of love, effort and experience. Our chef asks for your patience while you wait for your meal as it is prepared with fresh Korčula ingredients and is cooked on the authentic barbecue. The first section of our restaurant is the central part of the tavern with kitchen with six tables from 1974. In the second section there are two large tables suitable for 14 guests each, and they are placed in the beautiful setting of an old shipbuilding workshop. The tools used in this workshop can still be seen today on the taverns inner walls. The third section is the terrace which was refurbished and opened for the public in 2007, with fantastic view at the oldest church in Korčula St.Peters and St. Marks cathedral or Mark Polos birth house. A unique location for a unique gastronomy experience from 1974!
