Visited the Beach Club for my husband’s birthday. Beautiful setting with nice sun loungers, changing facilities and towels provided.
It cost us €170 for the day for 2 beds which is expensive but probably typical for Hvar. Unlike beach clubs we have visited in other countries none of the cost is redeemable against food and drink. Drinks were priced in line with the rest of Hvar. We had lunch (two chicken Caesar salads) which was lovely.
For swimming I found it slightly challenging as many of the ladders I to the sea are steep/vertical and very slippy. We ended up walking to the public beach at the end of the club as it was easier. The shop advertised on website is closed so take beach shoes with you or buy some from the little kiosk on the hill (€11). There are lots of sea urchins so a must!
Would I visit again - no as not worth the cost in our opinion, but that didn’t spoil our enjoyment of the day. It would also benefit from a little background music as it was a little too quiet.

We took advantage of the club's half price offer for an afternoon of our stay on Hvar, taking two sunbeds and a parasol for a reasonable price.
All the sunbeds are adjacent to the water, and access is via various ladders and steps into the sea some of which are a little slippery.
Drinks are not unreasonably priced, given the location - we expected to pay more so were pleasantly suprised, and service from the bar staff was excellent.
Overall, we would recommend for a quiet afternoon by the water.

This is a famous highlight landmark of Hvar, established in 1927, with expensive (50 euro / day) sunbeds and suncobrans for rent; can also pay more for cabana with gauzy curtains, spot out on the pier, and for private rooms. These days, it is actively and assertively marketing itself as a wedding venue (primarily Americans and Brits) so if you see lots of flowers being delivered in the morning while out for a walk, know that means the beach club is closed that day to host a wedding. It is a perfect sunset wedding spot, with the terrace overlooking the beautiful water with a western view, and lovely full catered party at what is relatively reasonable price. The Beach Club Hvar is affiliated with Suncani, which owns most hotels on Hvar, so wedding parties can offer their guests a variety of differently priced accommodation options.

Booked a sun-bed for half a day. They had a wedding in the evening, hence the beds were only available til 3. This wasn’t a problem as they’d pro rated the rental cost according.
Upon arrival I was told that the kitchen was open until 2, and nothing was mentioned of a bar close time. At some point this changed but was not communicated by the waitress to anybody. I only found out when I tried to order fries at 1:15 and she said the kitchen had closed. I also ordered a drink which she put through for me but said it was last call and I had to pay up - over an hour and a half before they closed! I noticed a lot of unhappy customers who were trying to order after me when they were told they couldn’t. To make it worse, at 2:15pm i saw that the waiter for the other side of the deck was still bringing food and beverages out for his customers.
Aside from that, the service was overall lacking for a place that markets itself as being upscale - no water provided unless asked, had to move the parasols ourselves, had to actively find the waitress when wanting to order. And the quality of the food was poor in relation to the price. $26.50 for a quesadilla that had barely any meat in it, came with the tiniest portion of guac and no salsa or sour cream? Even the table next to me had to *ask* for ketchup and mayo for their burgers. I know this sounds like I’m nitpicking but for the prices they charge and that they market themselves as exclusive/upmarket it’s these little things that you would expect. If the loungers and food etc were all half the price i’d have NO complaints at all.
Anyway, the view is gorgeous and its a great spot to get in/out the water without having to deal with the pebbles but there are other clubs/resorts that offer way better service/experience for the same or less cost.
Can’t say that I’d recommend The Beach Club.
Although perhaps the experience is better when they don’t have a wedding to set up.

The biggest issue was the shade—or lack thereof. While they do have sun umbrellas, they are quite small. If you don't pick the right spot, you'll find yourself in the sun for most of the day unless you keep adjusting the umbrella every ten minutes. The waiters noticed our discomfort and tried to help, which we appreciated, but it didn't fully solve the problem.
The drinks were good, although we were a bit surprised by some inconsistency. On our first visit, we received a welcome drink, but on our second visit, we didn't. We're not sure if they changed their policy or if it was just an oversight, but it wasn't a big deal for us.
The staff at the club were very nice, kind, and welcoming, always attentive to our needs. However, we were disappointed by the food. It wasn't very tasty, and when we ordered a fruit platter, the fruit was warm despite being served with ice. Given the high prices, we expected better service—especially compared to similarly priced clubs in the French Riviera or Italy.
Overall, while Hvar Beach Club is a nice spot if you have a spare day and aren't sure what to do, we're not sure if we'll return. It’s good, but it didn't fully live up to the hype for us.

Visited here with 2 friends as a girlie treat to ourselves mid holiday after hearing really good things!
We paid for a cabana bed for the three of us (€295) which included some free extras such as a bottle of Prosecco, water and fruit platter. For such an expensive place the food was sub par, we were told by the waiter that the food was pre-prepared so we were unable to edit the food (my friend wanted to remove the spinach from the wrap). There had also been a wedding there the night before and this meant many of the food options were unavailable. Our chips came out cold- although I will say that the portion was very big.
In the afternoon it got very windy and slightly cold so we asked to move beds to further inland. The manager very rudely informed us that we could not, despite the fact it was 3/4 quarters and there was plenty of space and that if we wanted to switch to 3 individual sunbeds we would have to pay the cost of an extra sunbed as technically our cabana was only for 2! Either though other people were also sharing the bed with multiple people.
The place also shuts very early (6pm) and which is a shame as it was still lovely and hot and we felt like we were being pushed out after being told to pay the bill.
I will say that our waiter was lovely and very attentive, he paid attention and served us quickly and tried to accommodate our request, but sadly was unable to help.
Overall it wasn’t a great experience. I would say that the individual sun beds are worth it and for a special treat maybe the bigger beds but I don’t think I would return as I don’t think it’s worth the money we paid.

This place was great. We booked a second day while we were enjoying the first one. Kiril was a great server. He was professional, attentive and had great conversational skills. Book this place for the day asap.
Pro Tips: The garden cabana was amazing. You have a private spot with a beautiful view and lovely cross breeze. You are shaded by the pine trees (great for the melanin challenged like me) and other than our server, we had 6 people pass by us all day and two of them were massage therapists. We brought our own speaker with music and played it all day, even had the people below us dancing to mellow grooves. It’s a very short walk to the water (about 30 seconds) and the cabana can have its white sheets pulled for even more privacy. The price includes 2 bottles of water, a bottle of Prosecco and a fantastic fruit plate. You still have access to the toilets (the mens room was very nice) and showers.
Also, I had the best massage of my 46 year old life there and I traveled to Bali to be massaged every day for two weeks.
And yes, they do take credit cards unlike many other beach clubs and businesses in the area. Visa and Amex for sure (didn’t ask about Mastercard).
Looking forward to todays trip back.

A truly beautiful location and view but we were extremely disappointed by the misleading website information and service. I booked a Garden Capana which were advertised including a bottle of Prosecco, two bottles of water and seasonal fruit platter for 4 hours. When we arrived we were given two sunbeds, which the staff said were better than the Garden Capana. We then weren't given any fruit platter, Prosecco and we were charged for the water. Needless to say we swiftly left.

It was an amazing day here! We rented a peninsula area with four day beds and it was perfect. Dragan, our waiter, was especially wonderful in making the day so great. He was incredibly attentive and was especially kind to help organize a special birthday cake for my wife. Thank you Dragan!

The Beach Club Hvar is a historically unique spot, built in 1929 with an expansive building of cabanas, terraces, restaurant, and cement beach overlooking the lovely and quiet little bay by what is now the Suncani Amphora hotel. The BCH is owned by Suncani so guests at their various hotels should definitely visit. It is a lovely, gracious, upscale yet casual spot with lovely sunset views. Daniel, the manager; Stella and Nikka, hostesses; and Dragan, a waiter, all helped make our visits there very relaxed. It is 50 euro per person for a sunbed and parasol on the pontoon. There are also private cabanas and little sets of rooms you can rent for privacy. It's a lovely spot.

The location of the restaurant is wonderful. The food was very good but it was also pretty expensive compared to other restaurants in a Hvar. The service was average or below since we had to wait a very long time after we sat down until someone came to offer us drinks. But a man, who seemed to be in charge, came to us and apologized so maybe this was not something that usually happens.
Overall, it was a wonderful place to eat a good meal and the fact that we had to wait did not affect our experience too much.

beautiful day on the island of Hvar, comfortable deckchairs, delicious food, excellent cocktails. Waiter Dragan made our arrival at BCH a great success, he was always smiling and very helpful. great experience

After reading the reviews online, my husband and I decided to book a bed at the beach club. I am so confused why this place has such high ratings! If you want to overpay for food, drinks and your lounge spots, this is the place for you! Yes, the chairs are near the water, but so is every other spot along the very same water. The place also is photographed really well, but it needs a bit of touch up and is not as put together in person. We are super disappointed we fell into the tourist trap. We intended on only spending a portion of our day there, but due to the extremely slow service, we ended up having to hunker down. Our waiter seemed frazzled and always came missing important items ( ex: here is your food that you waited over 70 minutes and I’ll be back in another 20 with a fork for you to eat it!)While I was already pissed from the service and the confused wait staff, the icing on the cake was a conversation with the manager Mario. As a woman, I have never felt more disrespected and degraded in having a dialogue with someone. Just because you are the manager does not give you the right to treat guests and mainly women in a rude and obnoxious manner. Save yourself the trouble and give your money to other beach spots with locals who deserve it.

An amazing amazing day spent at the Grand Luxury Sunbeds with exclusive quarters at the Grand Hvar beach club. Entirely lux but inclusive, kind and gorgeous staff who treat you like actual celebrities for the day. Booked to celebrate our friend’s 40th birthday and could not have been a more gorgeous day. Dragon our waiter was so attentive and we enjoyed gorgeous lunch and gorgeous cocktails and relaxed entirely. Thank you!

We had the pleasure of being served by Kiril and not only was he very attentive but gave the best suggestions for food and drinks. We felt very cared for and couldn’t recommend this place enough. View was beautiful and food was so fresh. Will come back on the future!
