Went here not knowing anything about it, nor having read any reviews. Food was fine, but nothing special for the calibre of restaurant which this place is trying to achieve. I had seabass which was cooked well but simply. The issue I had was service. It took nearly 15 minutes to take our order, food came quickly, but when it... More

great food and wonderful ambience if you are lucky enough to get a table under the archway of the ancient city walls. Great steaks cooked perfectly . It was the most expensive meal we had in Hvar . Service was good but less personalised than in other similar restaurants we visited.

We asked the waiter for the cuantity of the food we ordered and they served us too much food. Nothing was specially tasty and the service was good. Maybe too expensive for the food we ate.

The setting for this restaurant was outstanding- would recommend sitting outside at night. Especially for couples, it was very romantic. Food was great-we got the monkfish and catch of the day cooked in the traditional way. It was a pricy meal but well worth it- you got a lot in terms of portion size & great wine also. Service was... Delicious seafood and tranquil, central setting. We loved this place because the seafood was perfectly prepared and had loads of flavour, without being pretentious or overwhelming. The delicious Sea Bass was the standout dish for me, with the octopus starter a close second. The staff were attentive and funny, with good wine recommendations (although the wine was not cold enough,... More

This is one of the two best restaurants on my trip to Croatia (the other being Vinodol, for lamb-on-the spit, in Zagreb). Everything was superb, from the food, to the service, to the setting in a beautiful old palace. The Grigada fisherman's stew was my best meal in Dalmatia. Given the number of excellent and very good ratings for Glaxa... More

We had such a lovely experience here! Very friendly staff and a unique menu with lots to choose from. They took out a little taster dish while we waited for our meal. House Wine was delicious. Would recommend the hot pasta starter. They had no lamb or beef left on the menu which was a little disappointing but my chicken... More

This restaurant is recommended. We were there for lunch when it is much less crowded. The restaurant is situated in an old stone building. The food was modern and delicious. The staff was not at the level of the restaurant. It is good value for money. Short wine list but some good Croatian wines by glass.

Quite expensive restaurant, but the price definitely worth it. Our best restaurant during our 10 days in Croatia. Very refined and tasty dishes. Ingredients are fresh and high quality. Both fish and meat (so tender!). Location very romantic.
