Was on a group tour with Costsaver/ Trafalgar and had the opportunity to experience a lunch of delicious regional specialties at this lovely restaurant on Sunday June 19th. Service was excellent, food was delicious. What a feast! The food just kept flowing. Started with appetizers of cottage cheese, red cabbage, peppers, pickles, cold cuts, 2 spreads & bread. Then came a gourmet platter of duck, veal, mashed potatoes, and noodles. For dessert 2 different kinds of strudel. The cheese strudel was so good.

when you are in Zagorje it is always a warm recommendation to eat something nice here. the staff is extremely friendly, has facilities for children, when the weather is nice, sitting outside for lunch is an ideal opportunity. the food is great.

One of the best lunches I've had in a long time. We ate gnocci with mushrooms and roast duck with mlici which is a type of flatbread that needs to be cooked. Aslo had a bean salad with onions and pumpkin seed oil. Everything was better than great. We also had apple strudel for desert. The check was about 35€.

Fresh food. I recommend to try chicken and štrukli (cooked or baked in the oven). This place is suitable for families, friends and couples. There were 2 dogs and 2 cats to see and miniature goats. Wonderful.

This restaurant is in the hills/mountains of Croatia. The drive was beautiful. The last few hundred yards, however, that vehicles aren't advised to proceed. So we walked up the steep incline to the restaurant at the top of the world. The owner will come down and pick you up if you can't make the grade.
From the setting, the valleys unfold below. The vista also includes other far-off fortresses. The cozy restaurant has both outdoor and indoor seating. We chose the patio with pergola. Our table was flanked by red roses and we were entertained by a colorful bantam rooster who was clearly king of the roost.
We feasted on a traditional dish served family style. The main dishes was turkey and pastry (noodles). The noodles were limp but the turkey was outstanding. I have never had such delicious turkey. If I were there, I would still be eating it. After arriving at home, I have been searching Croatian recipes for turkey for it was truly remarkable. On the whole the experience was delightful and one of the best places we ate in the area.

I was here with a tour group for lunch. As others have noted, it's at the top of a hill and the views are magnificent. You're surrounded by grape vines and other greenery as well as beautiful flowers.
We all had the same dishes: a mild beef soup with noodles, delicious salads (the tomatoes in this area are miles above standard US grocery fare and the cabbage salad was crisp and lightly dressed). The turkey was good but a bit salty for my taste. I loved the apple strudel- freshly-baked, crisp and fragrant.

Beautiful setting with amazing food. It is a really quirky little place, my kids loved all the different things to look at, and kept them busy whilst we waited for our food. The waitress spoke perfect English and recommended a local dish. The food was as beautiful as the setting. Cannot see what anyone would have to complain about. Wonderful place, we loved everything about it

Delicious meals and large portions. Extremely kind and friendly staff. Reservations recommended especially on weekends. We were there during the winter and it was nice, but I believe it's even nicer int he summer when you can be outside and enjoy view. Special recommendation for ice cream with pumpkin oil.

Well, I wouldn’t say it’s not worth visiting. But if you don’t expect perfection, ok. Personally, I don’t like preparing food with a lot of onions. Gravy which is probably the same for different food. Mushrooms which are actually champignions. What to say about toilet with the washing machine? Funny? Hm… Excellent location, lovely house but they should try to be better.

This is an excellent place for anyone who wants to try local cousine near Zagreb, very fair prices, excellent service, fantastic view of the castle Veliki Tabor... very romantic. Busy on the weekends so you should make a reservation. Its quite romamtic as well when not so busy :) place is separated into many balconies/courtyards, so no matter how crowded it is you can consider it peaceful.

Very tasty food, regional flavor. Great place for daily excursion. Has small build makets of local attractions, perfect for families with kids to explore. Also vicinity of medieval Croatian castle VELIKI TABOR is plus.

After visiting Tito's birthplace, we came over to this restaurant for lunch. You had to work hard to get here. You had to climb up a steep pathway to reach the restaurant. The main dish was roasted turkey which was excellent.
Once, you are done eating. Check out the very fat pig with big teeth nearby. He sits in his pen.

We saw positive reviews and decided to try our luck. But the restaurant "Grešna gorica" does not need luck. The staff, ambience, service and food are top notch.
We came during the weekend and grabbed a free table. Recommendation to everyone, be sure to reserve your place if you come on weekends.

Excellent typical Croatian inn, located in a very quiet and pleasant hilly setting.
Simple and tasty typical dishes, all of excellent quality and honest prices. Friendly staff.
Recommended if you have children, there are also some farm animals and a deer.
Having been here for lunch on a weekday there were no problems, however on weekends it is highly recommended to book in advance considering that it is a very busy place.

on top of a mountain surrounded by great view, this restaurant by local family offers authentic and very yummy Croatian food. their veal is a must try, so tender that melts in your mouth!
