Amazing meal, one of the best I have eaten during my trip. The service was impeccable. We had the restaurant to ourselves which added to the experience. We were well looked after by our host and had so much tasty food. It was a great...evening. It was a little way outside the old town Dubrovnik so I would recommend arranging a transfer. We were in the middle of winter seasons when we visited Dubrovnik and Cavtat and we were introduced to this remote restaurant on top of the hill looking down the Dubrovnik Airport. It was an amazing restaurant with a very nice food cooked by Peter's...wife who has been there for many years. They cooked Peka food which is a large plate of Veal and Octopus which they slowly cooked it for hours (we need to pre order in advance). The taste is very authentic and the meat was very tender with a deep taste. They also provide us with both local red and white wine they produce. It's definitely a must visit and taste if you are in Dubrovnik surrounding.More

Amazing food (maybe the best of our entire Europe trip) and wonderful service at this little family owned restaurant. Worth a 30 minute drive from Dubrovnik easily although they also do accommodation.
Been there with a tour guide. The owner was very kind and friendly. The food was good. It was quite far and the road was a bit narrow, but it is worthy. Highly recommended.
On a day trip from Dubrovnik to Montenegro, our driver suggested a traditional "Iron Bell" dinner on the way back later that evening. (The meal takes a couple of hours to prepare so you have to call ahead.) We agreed that we need to try...it and were happy that we did. The restaurant is located in the middle of the mountains overlooking the valley and sea below. Everything was wonderful and fresh off the farm. Dinner included a beautiful platter of veal, lamb and the best potatoes prepared under the bell as well as a platter of prosciutto, cheese and olives, a salad, wine and crepes. Everything was delicious. The owner is very charming and attentive.More
Made very welcome by the owner and offered wonderful local cuisine. Very relaxed atmosphere for Sunday lunch; went for walk to admire the view between courses! Definitely recommend this mountain restaurant.

Our group of 8 arranged to stop here for dinner following day trip to Montenegro. Great decision. We called days in advance to order 5 of the "under bell veal and lamb" dinner; upon arrival we ordered 2 home made ham cheese plates, salads, and...2 mixed grill platters followed by apple strudel. The meal was accompanied by carafes of local red, white wines, breads (all made by the owner or his wife). Stuffed silly, almost overload... Well it was overload but G R E A T. Bill was 220 Kunas ($us40) per person with 20%tip and we covered our driver's meal. The place is very remote but well worth the time!More
