unfriendly staff, food taste like a frozen dinner, bathrooms dirty. Long story short I will never spend my money here again, Birmingham has far superior restaurants.

My wife and I like to eat out some, but like most people we have a go-to place that you head for on any spur of the moment. "Want a fish taco?" and we're off to Cantina is not a fancy place, but the ambiance is comfortable, interesting and like home. The menu is not expansive, but contains plenty of... More

Order at the counter, fight for a seat, prepare to enjoy. That about sums it up for a weekend night. I do enjoy going to this restaurant the obstacles of eating here notwithstanding. Sometimes the line to order winds out the door. The place is large, but as popular as it is, it can still be a challenge to find... More

This place should be on everyone's list of I can't decide where to go. Just go to the Cantina!! Food is always good and you have the option of dining under the the stars or a couple of different atmospheres inside. If you have not been then it is your loss. Cheers!

I have eaten here many times over the years but hadn't been in several years until last night. I was pleased to see some new menu options, (presumably since the Castro brothers took over after their brother's unexpected death.) My family chose the patio given the perfect weather. The ordering at the counter was unexpectedly slow given the fact that... More

Our group of 6 stopped in for a mid-afternoon snack. We sat on the patio, as it was a lovely day! We sampled several items, including tacos, nachos, queso. We also had both the Key Lime and Prickly Pear Margaritas (fresh, refreshing, good, not a bottled mix). The service was average (you place your order at a counter, then they... More

The Cantina is one of my favorite quick and easy restaurants. The owners think of everything as being important. The fish tacos are some of the best I have ever eaten. Try the margaritas!

Not really what we expected when we got there. Counter service then they bring your food out to you. We tried a lot of things. All the tacos were good. We had a Nachoroto. It was the favorite of all. We had a really good Cuban sandwich as well. Great price. Great food. Nice, friendly people.

After moving away, this is still one of the places that is always on my "must go" list when I come home. I cannot branch from the fish taco's as much as I really want to because I know how great everything else is. I even had my rehearsal dinner here and everything was perfection!

I eat here regularly and the food is always great. The food truck is always close by and is very good as well.
