Admittedly we are very critical diners (and lodgers). But I think that we have the resume to critic (do not judge our experience based on my reviews, I rarely publish reviews these days). After Highlands won the James Beard Foundation Award, I suggested to my...More

The food offerings are unique I had the triggerfish dinner and it was not what I consider off the charts. For all the hype of the restaurant I did not get the WOW factor I was expecting. The grits with mushroom gravy was very good...More

I, my wife, and another couple found our dinner at Highlands to be uneven. This was a particular disappointment especially after Highland’s had won this year’s James Beard Outstanding Restaurant award. I began with a Boulevardier cocktail, which, while made well, didn’t have the expected...More

Wonderful Experience! My husband and I went here for our anniversary. It definitely lived up to our expectations. I suggest getting the baked grits appetizer! It was so good that we bought Frank Stitt's cookbook after. Reservations needed.

James Beard award winner Frank Stitt never disappoints. Elegant dinner and premium service. Consistently a Birmingham best.

Hands down best restaurant in America. Frank and his team prepare phenomenal, simple dishes in a fantastic setting. A James Beard winner you don’t want to miss. Get the tomatoes when in season and don’t skip the dessert.

Good food, very pricey. It was a nice atmosphere as well. Good thing that I received a gift card to eat there.

The restaurant women’s bathroom is up a flight of stairs , and I’m not sure if there is an elevator or an additional downstairs bathroom (I didn’t look for one). I would call the restaurant and ask them.
