Most chain restaurants the quesadillas are flavorless pucks. This one was flavorful and just right for lunch. Not too much food, just right. People were friendly and fast.

We were happy to find Rojo on a Sunday night with few other options open which were not chain spots. They have an extensive menu from which we chose a few Mexican options. Not bad - freshly made but not much flavor. Chips were good. The atmosphere is very upbeat. Everyone seems to be having a great time with lots of... More

Have been eating lunch here for years and meals are always good and reasonably priced. Highly recommend Philly cheesesteak and castadeas. Fries are worth going for, hand cut. Non greasy and perfectly seasoned. h

Met a couple colleagues here for a late dinner. Parking was hard to find but I managed with several laps around the block. The place was busy which was a nice sign. You order your food and drink at the bar like a Irish or English pub and they will bring it out to you. The beer is cold and... More

Eclectic place, very informal, doesn't present as a clean modern kind of place. Very Avondale / Highland hippie metro kind of place. Food was bland and sorta vegan like. Wasn't bad at all just didn't really taste. Wouldn't go back with that being said.

I've been going to Rojo's for a number of years and have never been disappointed. Having both sides of the menu to choose from- latin and American - gives everyone in your crowd lots of choices. Maybe too many choices - it's hard to narrow down what you want because everything is so good. It's self-service to order and get... More

I stopped in for lunch and had the grilled shrimp salad. The salad was fresh and quite delicious. What really got me was the service. The entire staff was super nice and really made the visit special. This was my first time here, but I will definitely be back.

We were only in Birmingham one night, and had never been to the area before. We looked online for a Mexican restaurant and found Rojo. It was a little challenging to find from our hotel because it was dark, we were unfamiliar with the area, and the layout of the streets is a little confusing. However, Google Maps got us... More

Went with friends after work. Great food. Best strawberry margaritas!! Service was good. We sat outside so it was a bit hot, but we had a great time!

Four of us enjoyed a casual dinner on the patio that and agreed that, if we lived in Birmingham, we would be regulars there. After reviewing the extensive menu, orders are placed at the counter and the food is brought quickly to the table. Fun atmosphere, great food with many options (including vegetarian and kid-friendly), cheerful staff. The salsa is... More
