We LOVE Shula's! Great romantic dinner place. Not the kinda place you go if you want to look at menu prices. If spending money stresses you out then you won't be able to enjoy the meal or the ambiance. My husband and I try to go 1 to 2 times a year as "our special place".... We started off with... More

Went for a little family celebration. Service was outstanding. They start by passing the football around the table- it has the cuts of meal listed on it. Then, the waiter wheels a cart to your table to show you each cut of beef and explain them. Nice touch, especially if you don't frequent good steak houses (No, Longhorns and Little... More

How is this place still in business? The food was good, but expensive. I have been to other Shula's that are bustling; this one is destroyed, so it is odd being in there and being the only customer in the bar at 6pm on a weekday. The high prices and lack of ambiance make this a thumbs down for me.... More

Absolutely delicious! Wife and I enjoyed very good service and food cooked to perfection. I had the 8oz filet with asparagus which was excellent. My wife had a salad with a huge appetizer of steak tips mouth watering and tender as can be. A little pricey but worth the money.

Steak was FANTASTIC! Crab mac & cheese was divine! Everything is a la carte, most sides are big enough to split. The molten lava cake is sinfully delicious! You can dress up or dress down. Very clean and staff is very friendly and attentive. Look forward to visiting again!

Great bartender, who has sadly moved on to another job, but the food while good, is very expensive and the 3 times I've eaten here the restaurant and bar were deserted so there was no atmosphere.

Ok, this is going to be an odd review, but I just felt like I needed to do it. It's odd because in two attempts in two days I neither ate nor drank there. My wife and I were treatng ourselves to two nights at the Wynfrey Hotel for my birthday. The first night (Friday) we arrived from out of... More

We stayed at the Hyatt so just walked downstairs. Making a reservation was quick and easy. We arrived a few minutes early and were seated right away. Staff was A+. Our food and drinks were brought out quickly. We were checked on multiple times. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. The food was wonderful from the salad to dessert.... More

As we have in the past, I made reservations at Shula's. The process was simple and the day of, I got a call verifying my reservation. Upon our arrival, we greated graciously and seated quickly. Our waiters very wonderful and saw to our every need. I had the bone in ribeye and my wife had the filet. Both were perfect.... More

Description
Shula’s Steak House is the classic American steakhouse: a fine dining white tablecloth restaurant. In order to be the best steak house, Don Shula followed the same principles that made him the winningest coach in football history - select the best talent available and give them the resources they need to succeed. In the restaurant business, that meant serving Premium Black Angus Beef® steaks, the best beef money can buy and providing our restaurant team with the best training. In terms of our restaurant team, he ran it like a sports team. In sports, one's performance is based on results - either you win or lose. The same is true for our restaurant team. Our managers are called Head Coaches and they have the authority to manage the team as they see fit to ensure repeated winning seasons. Our custom center cuts of Premium Black Angus Beef® steaks accompanied with our aging process make up our award winning SHULA CUT ® , the best beef money can buy. Our custom cuts and aging process are the highest in the industry. You won't find a better steak anywhere. Our restaurant is themed after the 1972 Miami Dolphins' "Perfect Season" - the only team in NFL history to finish a season undefeated. The menus are hand painted on an official NFL game football. At Shula's Steak Houses, one of the featured entrees is the 48-Ounce Porterhouse. Those who finish it join Shula's 48-Ounce Club, which currently has more than 26,000 members. I invite you to experience Shula's Steak House, where we only offer the biggest and the best. Shula’s Steak House Birmingham is a proud recipient of Wine Spectator’s 2011 Award of Excellence. With over 150 wines in our collection and a knowledgeable staff, we can help you select the perfect pairing to compliment your meal.
