I like my holes in the wall super holey. Saw's looks like a hole in the wall, but the food tastes gourmet. It's a weird mix that took getting used to, but is really worth it. They are apparently famous for their white BBQ sauce. Google it if you want to know what's in it because I couldn't tell you.... More

Just a little pricey but it's worth it. Fantastic food. Worth the drive to find it. GPS will get you there.

you can tell a place is good when the line is out the door. that's what it was like for me this past weekend. i was so hungry and everything looked really good. i ended up getting a chicken/broccoli potato. i couldn't finish it. it was gigantic. definitely big enough to share. it's a little cramped inside but it's part... We went today and it was your typical hole in the wall place. Great food. It's a small building with plenty of seating outside. The cashier wasn't the friendliest and quickly walked off and really didn't bother to explain where the cups are but the person who delivered our food was super friendly. The atmosphere was friendly and they were... More

Experience a unique southern flare. My first trip I ordered the “sweet tea fried chicken” and it was pretty amazing. I wasn’t brave enough to try the “pork-n-greens” until my daughter made me try it! Hands down the best pork combination I’ve ever tried. I have returned many times and now I always order the “pork-n-greens”!!!

While much of the menu is the same as other locations, each place has its own specific flavor. I love this place. It never disappoints. I had the shrimp and cheese grits special. I don't even really like grits (don't hate me) but it looked so good. I was sold with my first bite. Oh good goodness that was good!

Food and service was excellent. I loved we could sit outside. It felt like I was eating at a well kept secret.

Oh my gosh! My new most favorite restaurant ever! I had the chicken salad sandwich recommended by the really nice man (the guy with the gold teeth!). My husband had the brisket that was also delicious. However, despite that delicious part of our food, we would drive out of our way to have their fried okra! He recommended the okra,... More

This is a "must" when in Birmingham. Best BBQ ever and the sweet tea fried chicken...well, words can't describe. Saw's Soul Kitchen is our favorite. Doesn't get any better.

Saw's is truly a Birmingham staple. It has not been influenced by the hipster movement that has invaded most parts of the city. Saw's has remained a consistent staple amongst classic southern cuisine. The BBQ is tender, flavorful, and piled high on every sandwich. The menu is simple, but offers a taste of something for everyone. The BBQ, turnips, and... More
