Worst food I’ve ever tasted. Literally gagged at everything I ate. Expensive. Made me order an appetizer. Waitresses aren’t knowledgeable of menu. Hardly see them. DO NOT EAT HERE.

I ate here for every dinner and breakfast during my stay here. It was a work trip and I’m a home body. Elizabeth and Jeremy welcomed me like a regular and always hooked me up with fantastic food recommendations. The food was amazing! Every the...bread was great! They made this work trip very enjoyable. Thanks guys!More
The food was delicious. I chose the baked fish for dinner. It was cooked perfectly. Vegetables were delicious. Servers were extremely polite and efficient and thanked us for coming in.
We started in the bar with a cocktail and appetizer and so the evening was off to a great start. Then, we moved into the main dining area and decided on the salad with arugula and all kinds of yumminess. For the entrée I had...the filet. It was one of the best steaks I've had. The service at this establishment is excellent. Professional yet approachable.More
Stopped in on a Friday night for dinner. Despite the fact that we had a reservation the host tried to seat us in the bar area even though the main dining room had very few guests. We ordered the polenta appetizer, meatloaf with mashed potatoes...and the grouper with saffron risotto. All of the food was good with the exception of the "saffron risotto" which was just basically unseasoned yellow rice. The main dining room was brightly lit with no atmosphere. The service was clumsy. It took forever to receive our cocktails and they brought one drink and we waited a full 5 minutes for the other one to arrive. The courses weren't spaced out properly and as you can see from my photo the table wasn't properly bussed between courses with glasses/plates piled up. We had to flag the servers down for water and cutlery. They brought out a cup of coffee and didn't bring a spoon and then we had to wait 5 more minutes for my capuccino. The only thing that was brought promptly (even though we had not asked for it yet) was the check. Laughably bad service for what is supposedly a high end restaurant. Definitely would NOT recommend and will not return.More
The restaurant is one huge factory like room with high ceilings. It is attractively set up with separate tables & chairs, tables with couch seating on one side and a long narrow area from which one can watch the busy chefs work. Service is friendly...and professional. The food is very good and well served.More
We did a staycation at the Elyton and chose to eat brunch at The Yard. We had reservations for 11am and arrived about 10 minutes early. There seemed to be plenty of staff for not a lot of dining guests but everyone seemed preoccupied. We...felt forgotten. Again not a lot of guests when we were there. The brunch menu had a lot of interesting choices and overall we enjoyed our meal once it came. They are going to have to up their game with all of the other options available in Birmingham.More
Absolutely loved the vibe in this restaurant! Beautiful decor and fun for a family get together or for going out with friends! Great staff and the food/drinks were amazing! Definitely will be coming back soon!
We had dinner here and breakfast the following morning. Menu is really varied, with a Southern touch. We had salmon, with black eyed peas on the side. We also had a salad with chicken and crab salad, all well prepared. For breakfast we had omelettes,...one with seafood and the other vegetarian. Both were accompanied by fruit bowls and big fluffy biscuits. A really amazing breakfast menu. This is a wonderful restaurant.More
My girlfriend and I were in town for graduation . The concierge recommended The Yard saying it was voted the top restaurant . When we walked in one side was a little noisy so we asked about a two top window seat away from the...crowd. Very soon i realized that was a terrible mistake. After several minutes ( over 5) of me staring at the hostess she finally came and asked if anyone had waited on us . I begged for some ice tea and waited another 10 minutes to find out they had none but would brew some. This was 7 pm on a Friday mind you. FINALLy up walks Sam Tate and my life changed. Ms Sam took things under control and I made a friend. If it weren’t for her I would never suggest going there however she is what makes a place . She went above and beyond and back again. I applaud you Sam.More
