During my visit to San Pedro de Atacama, I had the pleasure of dining at Barros Restaurante, and it was a truly memorable experience. This charming restaurant offers a perfect blend of delicious food, warm hospitality, and a lively atmosphere.

Amazing place - great vibes, friendly staff and the food is absolutely amazing, and huge! You have to try Chorrillana and Cazuela soup. Beware - take one dish for two people. Reasonable prices. Drinks - giant (0,5L), gorgeously refreshing, and huge selection.

The atmosphere is very rustic, it has live music, but the service seemed somewhat disordered to me. The waiting time was somewhat long and without much explanation from the staff, since in other places they tell you things like "the order is coming" or things like that. Regarding the food, it is delicious, abundant and very generous, which I find to be its strong point.

Ok. So I didn’t have expectations of fine dining. This is little more than a shack and that doesn’t matter as it is quaint. Had reasonable live music too. But how hard is it to cook a chicken lasagne and serve it hot. ? Arrived burnt on the outside and cold inside. Meantime I snacked on my wife’s vegetarian pizza which was so bland it defies description. Eventually said burnt lasagne re- appeared but by then I just wanted to leave. Paid for what we ate and a bottle of wine. No apology offered. Avoid like the plague.

The roaring indoor fire hooked us. Unnecessary long wait to get served (very quiet at the time). When a group of eight sat beside us we were concerned. Coincidently, the group beside us were from the same town as us in Canada, meeting here, 8500 km away? But we got our food first. Average Chilean meal made more palatable by the fire beside us, the sky above us and the music around us. Service was also slow, but the staff and management were friendly and engaging.

Great little restaurant that’s well worth seeking out for dinner. The menu del dia was delicious and well priced. But best of all were the lovely staff and the amazing local band that were playing all night.

The food is good, but the highlight is the ambiance. Nice place, good live music with local artists, open and spacious space. Great option for a livelier night in San Pedro. Some chairs and cushions were a little old, but nothing that bothered the night.

Don’t confuse the restaurant with the cafe of the same name, on the same street. This place is popular with the young and young at heart..live music, decent food, extensive drinks list(wine list small but very good). Would we go back - no. Once is enough. Free WiFi.

We arrived at Barros for lunch at 14:30, we were stil on time to order Menu Del dia, it was a good choice, a tomato soup as starter and a hamburguesa , my husband ordered pollo a lo pobre , The Classic french fries covered with chicken fillet, onions and eggs , it was delicious. Very simple Place but cozy, The price was reosonable considering the average In SAN Pedro

Don't get the burgers, it may have been the worst burger I've had since I've been in South America (3.5 months). The reason I didn't give a worse rating is because my friends who had other dishes were pleased. Additionally, the service was quite good. There are better options in Atacama.

A few weeks ago, we were a couple of friends and I went to a place where they talked a lot, San Pedro de Atacama. We only stayed three days, the second day we went to a cafe where they treated us excellent, the food was very good, many times we were approached by a man who was standing at the entrance when we entered the site. the attempt to be funny with us and to leave the site invited us to attend the "restaurant barros" told us that at night there was live music which seemed nice to end our stay.
After being on tour all day, in the night we decided to go to that restaurant, at the entrance we met this man, first he greeted us and told us that he was the owner of the place, then that he was the owner's son and to call lulo, while we waited for a table to enter. Sometimes we went out to smoke and he came to us many times. in one of many times he offered us drugs to which we said no and he smiled saying that it was a joke. We found a nice person like all the people we met in San Pedro so we connected a lot with him, so much so that he invited us to a place called "la playa" after closing the place where we were. From there we went to "the beach" there were many people who seemed to enjoy, he invited us a few drinks and after a long night he asked us where we were staying and he said that if he could stay with us because he lived very far away. We said that yes, because we thought it was a harmless person, at the hotel we continue to have a few drinks until we fall asleep. when we woke up in the morning to go to the airport we realized that this man was no longer, we do not know what time he left, what we do know is that he stole cash that we brought in our wallets, before going to the hotel He had asked us for money because he had left his wallet in the place where he worked and he told us that in the morning he would return it to us, but it was not like that. BE CAREFUL BECAUSE THIS MAN WHO ALSO DOES NOT STOP DRUGING IS A THIEF. surely we were not and will not be the only ones who did this to them.

The food took more than 1 hour to be served, then it came with a hair between the salad and the fish, the pizza was more like a bread with cheese. Besides, the white wine by the glass was disgusting.
The only positive thing was the local music band.
Better to eat well at Adobe, La Casona or try other..
