We had our best Cambodia breakfast in Battambang. I could mention it's eat as much as you can, it's organic, it's freshly made/baked, it's healthy, it's beautifully presented, it's very affordable (only 3 USD pp). But what I really want to mention is the great...cause behind the cooking scenes!!! All staff members are part of the HOC orphanage (Hope of Children). This NGO supports children who have been affected by family violence and AIDS. While giving basics such as shelter, food, education and love, they strive to give the children skills they need to be independently functional within the community. When one mentions soul food, I really think they nailed it.More

We always felt welcome in the Hoc Café and had our Sunday Brunch (very moderately priced!) there for months! It was delicious! Organic and fresh fruits, fresh fruit shakes, cereals, fresh baked bread rolls (very good!), and other tasty things to eat. Very clean and...good toilets, good location in a quieter area of the city and a comfortable place to have a good time with friends.More

In recent days I have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner here several times. Given the number of excellent places to eat in Battembang, this says a lot. They offer very good food which is excellent value for money. The best value is probably to be...found in their fixed price deals, but al la carte is also possible. The fixed breakfast is a buffet and you get two eggs cooked to your liking and there is a range jams, yogurt, muesli, breads, a local savoury dish and fresh fruit. Coffee is extra but is real espresso based and good. Much of the food is home grown/made and organic. Lunch is good value and for the fixed price you choose from a range of dishes which are typically different styles of curry. These are shown on the website. The evening meals are probably the best value, since for the fixed price you choose a selection of starters and mains. Bring your appetite since this is a lot of food. This is an ideal place to go if you are really hungry and on a budget. Overall the menu is a mixture of local Khmer and Japanese dishes which makes for a good range of choices. There is also a good range of espresso based coffees, juices and smoothies. The location has ambience and is popular with all kinds of travellers. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the overall experience is very good. As you dine, you are also supporting an important charity. Perhaps the tiny criticism is that the WiFi can be a little flaky, but the staff are happy to kick the router back into action if asked.More

Delicious local food served by lovely staff, i had the Katsu pork which was beautiful and my partner had beef with green pepper which he devoured, both huge portions too and only $3 each, would highly recommend!

Came here before for lunch and liked it a lot, but tried the breakfast buffet for the first time today. 3USD (excluding coffee) and they got so much homemade stuff! Choice of eggs, porridge, dried fish, fresh fruits from their own farm, homemade bread and...jam. Love that they use wooden plates, bowls, forks and spoons. Will come again!More

The HOC Cafe and Restaurant convinced with really excellent food for the small price. All meals cost $ 3.00, and the dishes are served with a soup and salad. The food can easily compete with other mid-range restaurants. You can also change all dishes, as...a tip is the Thai soup with noodles personally with rice but even better. In addition, you do something good and you support a local NGO. Because I live in Cambodia and I have seen and experienced so many NGOs here, who are not doing what they claim to be - the HOC is really different. Check out the website and eat there once. Then you understand my rating. Nice, good English speaking service.More

Went in to try their breakfast buffet. I was disappointed. They opened at 8:00, I was there at 8:30 and the buffet was empty. I got one piece of bread and two small pieces of fruit. After 15 minutes the server came out and asked...how I would like my eggs. I said scrambled. They brought out sunny side up. I didn't say anything. I ate, paid and left. Only $3 but not worth the visit.More

We ordered the fried wantons, fried pork and ebi fry and oh my god everything was so delicious ! Everything was super good, including the service. The fruit shakes are excellent and the homemade ice creams very good too ! The prices are very reasonable...for the quality and amazing taste of the food and beverages. You can have breakfast, lunch and diner there. This restaurant supports orphan children via the NGO hope of children.More

Had one dinner here - large portions, cheap price, lovely staff, & nice ambience. Had breakfast the next morning - scrambled eggs & coleslaw. Everything was great again, except that by the time I got back to the hotel I was violently ill. Food poisoning.
