We ordered simple cheese toast and got cold and tasteless toast. I don't know how they got such high ranking but they don't deserve it.

Enjoyed this restaurant twice during a recent stay - they also do cookery lessons, regrettably we didn't have time.

The staff are very friendly, we ate delicious soups there. Min Min also acted as a guide/driver for us. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He speaks very good english, and was very flexible when our plans changed. He gave us a very good price hiring a car, was a very safe driver. Would recommend booking activities through him.

I like this restaurant, small, simple, with great food, it is a local family run restaurant. The lady recommended a fish dish to me, very delicious and filled my stomach full. I like the simple setting of the restaurant, you can chill and relax after a long day. I heard them arranging some tours for tourists. If you don't know... More

They claim to use clean ice and fresh lemon juice. It is right next to JJ express so the location was perfect for us to sit waiting for our night bus. Mojito was great but banana colada was too strong.

We stopped by to have a cool drink after riding from our hotel, Novotel, and visiting the local market. We inquired about the distance to get to the nearby Hot Springs. As we were already hot and tired we took his suggestion to get a taxi which he helped organise. He was very kind to put our bikes at the... More

Lovely tiny restaurant by a local family. They make their own pasta and gnocchi which where very very good. Friendly family and really good prices. Definitely worth to try between all the more expensive restaurants...

We ate here several times because the food and service were very good.. English was spoken, so we could clarify what we wanted to eat. Also, we always said, "Please use very little oil"... Most importantly, we returned time after time to Min Min's because we remained healthy after eating here, no tummy concerns. So, you can eat here with... More

After getting a few stupidly overpriced quotes on bikes I came into this restaurant and the smiley and friendly owner rented me a good cruiser without any fuss. It was such a nice experience and the restaurant smelled so good that we went back there for lunch. It was damn good and really fair prices, even cheap considering all the... More

Min Min: What people say... "Min was a chemistry graduate from the university in nearby Taungyi but worked at hotels for many years before striking it out in 2005 with his rustic restaurant and later trek guide services around Inle Lake. A hardworking and bright burmese, Min Min is also very aware of the immediate environmental issues that makes him a very valuable asset to his community. I will highly recommend anyone to Min Min for his trekking and Inle Lake boat services. His wife also does a mighty fine dish of Inle Lake fish curry." Local Information: Nyaung Shwe (Burmese: ညောင်ရွှေမြို့) is a town a few kilometers north of Inle Lake in the Shan State of Myanmar. It is located south of Sakangyi and southwest of Taunggyi. Bawrithat Pagoda lies in the southern part of the town. Nyaung Shwe is the tourist hub for visiting Inle Lake. It consists of one main thoroughfare with numerous side streets and a few parallel roads. The main street has numerous shops, several restaurants, a few stupas, travel agencies and a market (located behind the storefronts). Near the end of this road, a bridge crosses the river channel near an impressive mirror-tiled stupa. The town serves as a marina for the numerous long boats carrying tourists into the lake. The lake itself is located a few kilometers south through a river channel. Nyaung Shwe can be reached by bus, car, or by plane via the airport in Heho, located about a one-hour drive away.
