Just bad! Food arrived which should have included a salad. A plate FULL of lettuce is not a salad and when the waitress was asked about it she was adament that lettuce is salad. Taste was also such a let down. Give this place a...skip despite the good reviews.More

Don’t go there. Quite good food, but horrible service. Long waiting time for make an order and one young female waitress who seemed uninterested to doing a good work and yelled at her colleagues.

We came here for the view. Although the place was empty, they didn't let us sit at the tables with a view because they said they were reserved. We didn't have a problem with that. But then we noticed that until we left, those places...were still empty. So we could have stayed there. They should tell you: "you can sit here, but only for one hour" or something like that. The food was regular: not bad, not very good. The service slow taking into account that the place was empty (18 ish o'clock). We received the food in 3 steps, so we didn't actually eat together. First my husband received the salad, then I received my pasta, and when i already finished, my husband received the meatballs he ordered (he wanted the salad and the meatballs together). The waiters don't wear a mask, or they wear it under the nose or chin. The place is nice and cozy. The menu has a lot of choises: pizza, pasta, grill, fish. The prices are ok.More

I only recommend drinks in this restaurant. I waited for almost 40 minutes for food, the waiter did not understand the order well, did not understand English, and I do not speak Bulgarian. I called another waiter who understood a little of what I asked...for. I didn't eat pizza, maybe I should have tried, because I saw the orders of the other customers and they looked very good.More

I wish I never stopped there. We wanted a restaurant with a view but we probably we chose the worst one of all, if I am talking about the food. To be fair, the waitress was very nice and the place was cozy, but I...can't give two stars on that considering how much anger I have invested in eating the food. After I waited for ONE HOUR and all of my friends already ate, here comes the abomination: The steak seemed only boiled like it was made to be put in a soup. It had no seasoning whatsoever, no flavour and it was not even medium rare as I requested. I undestood from the waitress that the meat was firstly cooked in a pan and then steamed. Who steams a steak AFTER frying it? They name for it in the menu was "butcher's steak", but regardless of the recipe, that was not a steak. AND IT WAS 30 LEVA. This was the most expensive thing at our table! I wanted to not touch the meat, but the truth is that I was really hungry after all that waiting. Here is a picture of the food for reference.More

So, let's start with the plus: awesome view over Veliko Tarnavo, wanted to stay outside, but the tables were reserved (be sure to book in advance if you want the view). The waitress there was super nice, she gave us a cosier place inside. The...design of the place is super cozy and cool at the same time (photo for reference- how the sunset is there). The only thing that could have made our night perfect was the food. Well, it didn't. You have a big menu with a looot of variation- both for meat lovers and for vegetarians or vegans. One of my friends and I went on the safe side and ordered a burger (which was ok- not too great, not too terrible), my husband ordered ribs (they arrived super fast, we were a bit amazed by that; guess what- they were reheated, that's how they felt), one of our friends ordered a steak and was not please at all of the taste and by the time it took to get to our table (we finished our food before she got her steak). Overall, it is an ok place if you go safe with the food and order something that no one can ruin. But I think if you go there, you should stick to drinks and the view, that way you won't be disappointed.More

There is something about the general service of horeca in Bulgaria. Never have I been to a country with as many rude, cold, unwelcoming waiters. This restaurant sadly was no exception. They think guests love to eat with loud club music. As all tourist traps...in any country, they could care less if you come back or not. Next day will be a day to trap a new flock of tourists. Pizza dough was good, so was the oven, ingredients were tasteless and cheese was funky and cheap. The salad tasted like water, despite my efforts to salt, vinegar and oil (not olive oil btw, some cheap sunflower oil). Maybe all those years of communism has kicked the tastebuds of generations in the ground, most seem ignorant or clueless about quality ingredients and taste. Bread is a joke, as bakeries are close to non existent, offering a delicious slice of industrial pre cut white bread from a plastic bag. Surrounded by Romania, Greece and Turkey you'd expect the food to be top notch. In some restaurants they offer you a drink if you leave a high rating here, making the whole rating system unreliable. It's sooo hard to find good food here, I guess the Mediterranean countries have spoiled me too much with real food. My friend had to run to the toilet after eating the cheese potatoes from the oven. Beer was good, also the coca cola.More

The food was pretty horrible, we took a greek salad, everything tasted like water! How could you go wrong with a greek salad?! We also got some potatoes with melted cheese on top, drenched in oil! And the pizza, it smelled like a dirty gym,...but the crust was actually pretty nice as the oven had some real fire in it! After eating all this i had to go to the toilet... (hence the title, we didn’t believe other reviewers when they mentioned the same thing) Ah and while we were eating and talking we got interupted by a waitress wanting to pick up the empty plates and bottles even tho we both didn’t even finished eating! Buy some new plates for god sake if you want them so bad, the place was half empty anyways 🤣 as for the rude waitress I believe it’s based on bad communication due to her lack of understanding English and not her intention, all in all a great base for negative vibes. Is it good value if after 5 minutes you dispose of all calories you just paid for?btw is this Ibiza or do they really think food goes well with heavy bass house music (we love clubbing). Au revoir le trappe touriste!More

It's an excellent restaurant but I'm not sure 'Bulgaria' really go in for glutton free highlighting. Stick to what you know and don't take their advice too literally.
