Excellent experience

Visited here twice in a row we enjoyed it so much. First, for my son's birthday. All of the food was good. We had salmon balls, calamari, grilled salmon with avocado mousse, Caesar salad burger, eggplant which was exquisite. It is a very comfortable restaurant. First day we sat inside at a very nice table and the next day we reserved a table with a sensational view. The service was great. They brought a cake with a candle for my son's birthday and played happy birthday on the speaker. Very nice. We would highly recommend this place.

Good food, but not everyone eats at the same time at the table :)

Nice view, good food, funny way to serve food. They serve food as It's ready, so main corse got my wife 5minutes before me and then my dessert was on the table almost 10min before hers. Stuff was nice but if you ask them what they like to drink they only offer the most expensive drinks, worked a bit clumsy for me, but ok, food was good as well the rakias. We payed about 35€ for 2 plates, 2 desserts and 4 drinks what is ok price for what you get in such a nice restaurant.

Great spot

One of the best restaurants we tried in Bulgaria. We had appetizers (zucchini balls and dried meat) and mains (duck kebab and stuffed eggplant) and shared the yoghurt fig ice cream. Everything was well prepared and tasty. Ended up spending c. 70 BGN including tip and drinks. Do make reservations (fills up extremely quickly) and be prepared to eat much, as food comes quickly and portions are big.

Lifesaving food delivery with so much closed right now! Didn't really like the spinach salad but I didn't mean to order it (100% my mistake, not theirs) but delicious pizza. Menu is a bit limited due to shutdowns but they very kindly found someone to call me back in English to clarify. Hope to actually visit sometime!

Raw pork meat

I ordered kind of "Traditional Bulgarian Kebab" which basically was 3 pork sausages with fries. My fries were medium warm and my sausages were in 80% raw. I called waiter (which off course was not speaking english) and showed him my dish. He took it back to kitchen. I thought that I will get new portion of food or so apology at least, but gues what? They just fried the same meat again and gave me back my plate (I still had some small portions of raw meat on a plate...). Off course they did not fried again my fries so I was eating cold fries with double fried sausages. I didn't even bother to argue with waiter once again cause he was not speaking english at all ... In short: I strongly DO NOT reccomend this restaurant. PS. Some might say that view from restaurant is great. Well, if you like windows dirty with birds feces and view on abandoned soviet hotel then I reccomend this restaurant. In all other cases, DON'T GO THERE.

Nice food

Tried this place as it has been recommended a lot for its food and views. We didnt have a table with a view but the food was great and very reasonably priced. The only downside was the staff were inattentive and unhelpful. My partner and I were sharing our food and they didn't bring down side plates and even when they saw us sharing a fork over dessert they didnt bring a spare one. Would have had a much nicer experience if it wasnt for the staff.

So wrong in so many levels!

Although we booked the table three days in advance and it was specifically mentioned that the theme was an anniversary, we received a cloistered and totally uncomfortable table. We ordered a tuna tartar, a moussaka and a fillet mignonette, the latter was served with a freezer -cold side of mashed potatoes, adding to that I was never asked how I would like it cooked, so it came as a bloody oozing mess. Disgusting disappointing service!

Fabulous !

3rd time, 3 times super satisfied. I had dinner twice and lunch once, in two days. The first night I had the inconvenience of having a bored waiter who "knew them all", was not receptive at all. Someone in the group asked for mashed potatoes instead of french fries, he said he couldn't, without even asking in the kitchen. Fortunately, the food was just as good, perhaps the best food in Veliko Tarnovo. for a few days, the menu of this restaurant has been changed to an autumn one and I tell you, it is fabulous. I recommend baked lamb, baked squid, cheese-based appetizers, and for dessert, necessarily lava cake with orange jam. In fact, I am convinced that the whole menu is fabulous. Aaa! I was going to forget, don't forget to make a reservation, it's worth it!

Good service, bad food

Friendly waiters, told us the restaurant is full and the food will come late, informed us on the main courses that will be faster to prepare. We had a table to the street view, which I do not reccomend because of the cars passing by with loud exausts. We ordered some coffees, lemonade, all good but the black angus burgers were very basic, hard to eat in one piece, we had to eat every item sepparate. Tha pasta was basic, no taste, had ketchup instead of tomato sauce. The inside resaurant view is great but the food is low to medium quality, I would try another place next time I come in the city.

Best Restaurant in Veliko Tarnovo

This is known as the Best Restaurant in Veliko Tarnovo. I was invited there on a business trip and it was a great expeience. As i am on a special diet they prepared fresh vegetables according to my requirements. They have great customer service and a great ambience and a great atmosphere. The view out the back is absolutely amazing. It was night so i could not see too much but during the day you will be amazed.

Home made delicious cuisine

The decor, the location and the food was all 5* . As a group we ordered a whole host of items to get a real taste of the vast menu available. Everything was super fresh nd full of flavour it would be an understatement to say we all came out with food babies and the bill price had me shocked! If I could get a meal of this quantity and quality for this price in the UK I would eat out every day! Our waiter was extremely friendly and being the only English member of the group they were patient and had alternate translated menus when i couldn't quote work out the items with my basic knowledge . The location was fantastic with a beautiful view of the memorial sword . blagodarya x

Not as great as before

On my last trip to VT we visited this restaurant twice on account of it being so great, unfortunately this time it wasn’t fantastic. My partner had the beef pulled burger which was delicious and I had a trout salad, which was nice but over priced for what it was. The restaurant was incredibly busy but and so slow service is understandable but we felt very much unwanted and forgotten.

Good dinner

We chose this place for our first dinner in Veliko Tarnovo and also booked a table online. We had appetizers: stuffed peeper with cheese and truffles and courgette balls with cream cheese. Both really tasty! For the main course we had the duck filets in pepper sauce with lemon risotto (the meat was a bit cold, but really tender and the risotto was fantastic!) and pork with butter, lemon and thyme (tasty, but a bit too salty for my liking). The dessert was delicious - a cake with a liquid orange filling, simply to die for! Good wine, good service, good prices. I definitely recommend this place.

One of my favorite restaurants in the world!

It worth to come here even only to eat because the food is one of the best i've eatten. Amazing risotto with pork meat and porcini mushrooms. Lamb knuckle and Beef cheeks also amazing, very tender meat. For all the food i can say only excellent , amazing and very good.:Burata salad, Wolf bites (pork meat), Crispy pork ears, cheese pita (foccacia). Only beef tenderloin wasn't so good but not bad either. The desserts were good : cheesecake, biscuits cake. The restaurant looks nice, and we liked the view very much. Our waiters was incredibily bored but the Serving overall was ok. Parking places are available on the other side of the street, with charge. Food presentation excellent. Menu contains many options.

Best food in town

The food was delicious, the prices more than fair, the music very plaisant and the waiters very nice and polite. The menu is very diversified with all kinds of food and beverages. Its always crowded, but because it's very large, they always find a place for you.
