Went on a Saturday with friends. Food was good but the staff was not friendly. I don't plan to get back there anytime soon.

Even though I went to India once the food remembers this country and tastes good. Doesn`t have many choices at least at the lunch time but the quality is good for Indian food lovers.
There is always a selection of 2 options for your meal: salad, main plate, juice and desert included and you can choose a small or large size as well. I believe you can repeat some of the itens if you fancy it for a different...fee. Honest prices btw. This restaurant serves Indian food, maybe more inspired and adjusted to Brasilian taste, but yet a great palate experience. It is a simple place to go, have your meal and leave since all options are pre ordered and pre cooked every day. There might be some waiting at peak hours, but if you arrive solo or maybe in pairs after 2PM chances are you are not going to wait long.More
A simple yet very cozy place to have lunch. We paid the equivalent of U$15 and ate a whole lot! Indian music playing, colorful walls, good food
Great Indian lactovegetarian food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff! I know this place since 2003/04 and always come back to it when I visit São Paulo.
Heard a lot about this Indian restaurant from lot of Brazilian people and fact it’s ranked among top 200 restaurants in São Paulo made us visit this restaurant. One thing is for sure, this is not an authentic Indian restaurant. It does not have anything...Indian in it except the ambience which would definitely make you feel that you are sitting in a South Indian restaurant. They have a fixed menu and you don’t have option of a la carte which is weird. Well we order two plates, and food did not taste Indian at all. Broccoli pakoda was the only thing which tasted almost like authentic Indian pakoda, other than that nothing tasted like Indian food. A big disappointment.More
The restaurant is managed by Iskon temple trust and is very good option for vegetarians. They serve ONLY VEGETARIAN FOOD. They serve fixed menu with Indian and Italian options to chose from. The food is very tasty. Service is fast because of fixed menu. The prices...are very reasonable. We payed 41 BRL per person. Over all, a must try for a strict vegetarian like us if you are in Sao Paulo.More
The restaurant is still good after all these years. Exotic spices... The menu brings salad, starter, main course and dessert, plus juice for just R$ 35.00. Very worth it. Just avoid the queues from noon.
Gopala is a pleasant, simple and delicious little restaurant. It's not Brazilian and it's not Indian, it's a delicious combination of the two. Choose on of the day's menus and enjoy.
Maybe we need to get the issue of Indian or not Indian out of the way right away: as far as I know, the food is not Indian. But that does not make it a poor restaurant. The place serves correct vegetarian fare inspired by...Indian food. It is simple, inexpensive, and decent food. It is weird, but there are two restaurants side-by-side that have similar names, so please make sure you know where you would like to go. We came here by mistake, but left satisfied with the food.More
Arrive early cause the lines can get pretty long during lunch hour. Every day the menu changes, and there two daily meal options , great and affordable food. You can order the large or smaller size, and you can order half of each daily specials...in case you want try both dishes. Cash only.More
One of my best delights in the city is the gastronomy! I know… I know… Sinner! But I cannot avoid so many good restaurants and lovely places to go with affordable prices. You don’t need to sell your kidney in order to have a nice...gastronomic tour in this city. Of course, if you can afford, go to the famous restaurants of renowned chefs do it. But you may find precious surprises everywhere. After a business meeting in Avenida Paulista I was invited to have a meal in indian vegetarian place nearby. I was reluctant but I went without expectations. I queued in a small door, where a sweet scent of incense involves you. It is not too much. There is a complimentary refreshment drink just on top of the stair. It really bites you with ginger and lemon freshness. You are going to seat in low wood chairs. The menu is very simple and elegant, it includes two options with starters, mains courses and desserts. There is just one option of drink a very perfumed watery juice. It is not bad. My friend suggested me to ask for half portion of each option for the same price. I did it. So the fun begun. When the dishes came it was a travel to India without crying yourself out with the hot spice. I didn’t miss the meat and the whole meal is more than enough for a very hungry personMore
Went for lunch today. After about 45 minutes in line I get the table... The food is very mediocre. You get apple pie for desert! If you looking for Indian food please avoid this... It's just vegetarian but not Indian
No way close to INDIAN food at all . Just by putting rose petals and photos of Indian Gods and naming the restaurant after a INDIAN God ... Do not expect anything great ...they have created there own cuisine which is no way close to...INDIAN food . Utter rubbish ...More
The food here was not great. I am Indian and was looking for something close to home on my travels. I don't know what they served us but it was not Indian food having grown up with a whole variety of dishes from various regions...of India. There was no spice, nor was it prepared like any Indian food I have ever had before. It was mediocre at best, I wouldn't recommend it.More
