I have come to not expect much from Brazilian food except for a good steak and a good salad. Tordesilhas really goes against this perception. Its a restaurant that works with ingredients and flavors from all over Brazil and puts them together ina playful manner. There was a soup with a leaf that makes your mouth a bit numb, there... More

Taken here by a São Paulo culture and food maven who knows the chef. This is one of those restaurants that has developed a reputation for what they do with more modest cuts of meat, not the expensive ones. The mission is to demonstrate that you don't have to use just the costly parts of an animal or the most... More

If you are in São Paulo and want to try regional food from the Northeast, this has got to be your choice. From the muqueca (serving for one person), to the carne de sol, to the caldeirada, to the several plates that serve fish from the amazon - all the plates are excellent. You really can'y go wrong here.

At this place you can find typical dishes from all regions of Brazil. Naturally, they are adapted to the paulistano taste and are more contemporary , so don't expect to find the typical dishes exactly like they are in their native estate! Mt husband and I had the taste menu and was a very pleasant experience overall! Everything was tasty,... More

The concierge at our hotel suggested this restaurant. We enjoyed the food and, judging by how little English was spoken by staff or at other tables, it appears this is a place that attracts more 'locals' than tourists. Food was tasty and service was very nice. Although one person in our group speaks some Portuguese, staff went out of their... More

I really enjoyed my solo trip to this unpretentious restaurant. My server, Daniel, was excellent, and gave me great advice on what to order: ambrumadinho to start, followed by barreado. Both were delicious and complemented each other perfectly. When he noticed I was getting into the two varieties of local chiles that were on the table, he brought out three... More

If you want to try authentical food from Brazil, in a good setting, with very attentive service, this is the place to come. The food is the star, as are the many kinds of chilli sauces prepared in the house. For wine lovers, there is also suggestions of pairings and they also offer a multicourse menu. Don't miss tacaca, a... More

I have been there a month ago for the first time and we (me and my family) had one of the best gastronomic experiences ever. Great food and fair price. Must go!

Excelent place to test the Brazilian cuisine, the place is very beautiful with great pictures about brazilian cuisines and several handcrafts. The service is very good, despite the fact we have to wait for the main dish almost 1 hour and a half, but I understand because it was sunday and the restaurant was full... at the end the wait... Staying in Jardins

Neighborhood Profile
Jardins
Located just below important Paulista Avenue, Jardins is the junction of four smaller neighborhoods: Jardim Paulista, Jardim América, Jardim Europa and Jardim Paulistano. It is an upper-class area, offering a variety of things to do, including shopping, museums and parks. The neighborhood is well known for “Oscar Freire”– the most luxurious street in the city, packed with high-end boutiques. In Jardins you will also find a trendy museum, São Paulo Museum of Image and Sound (MIS), which people often line up for hours to visit. If green space is what you're after, take time to relax at Trianon Park, a refuge in the heart of Paulista Avenue.
