I came for lunch and just ordered off the menu, as I didn't feel hungry enough for the tasting menu (not even sure if they offer it at lunch time). The food was very nice, but nothing outstanding, given its ranking as one of the world's best restaurants. Service and drinks were fine, It is a casual, bustling place. No... More

I could not resist the temptation of going here after visiting DOM last year. Waited for almost 2 hours before being seated but somehow it was fine, enjoying a lovely cocktail and some appetizers. Very different from DOM which was probably just an inch better overall for its gastronomy, but the setting makes the real difference: (very) informal, slightly chaotic... More

At least the first time one comes to this restaurant one should DEFINITELY give the tasting menu a try. It was pretty inexpensive (especially with the real to dollar exchange rate) and absolutely spectacular. It's molecular gastronomy at its best, with one major standout: the feijoada. It's NOTHING like the feijoada we are all used to, but rather something extraordinarily... More

I'll keep it short and sweet. I speak English. And at best, I understand conversational Portuguese. Luckily, my date is from São Paulo so I had a generic idea of what was happening. First, we got there about 45 minutes before opening on a Friday night with no reservation. Put our name down and left. Came back about 15 minutes... More

My husband and I tried several things in the menu and some things were more impressive than others, but overall the whole meal was excellent! The moqueca was the best I've ever had. The caipirinha was just great and their "Ovo" dessert was wonderful! Make sure to have a reservation otherwise you might end up waiting for a long time... More

Simple, original, perfect for a romantic evening or a casual dinner. The plates are delightful! In 2014 and 2016, Helena Rizzo was selected as The World's Best Female Chef 2016, for her work as Chef of this restaurant.

If you are in Sao Paulo and would like to have a great food experience in a relaxed and friendly environment - this is a great restaurant. The food, an innovative experience of Brazilian and modern tastes, is excellent. The service, ambiance and warmth is encapsulating. My first visit to the “well known” Mani, at least listed as one of the best in Brazil. Ambiance is always essential in a fancy, upmarket and expensive restaurant, particularly in an important city like Sao Paulo. Forget about a place sort of “chic-shy”, rustic, and confy. The whole thing is just a wide corridor – a very wide garage... More

The food is good and the environment is nice, but I expected more once I have learned the chef is one of the best in the world. We had to wait about an hour to get a table. I was with a foreigner and local staff could not speak English properly to explain the menu and suggest dishes. It is... More

Staying in Jardins

Neighborhood Profile
Located just below important Paulista Avenue, Jardins is the junction of four smaller neighborhoods: Jardim Paulista, Jardim América, Jardim Europa and Jardim Paulistano. It is an upper-class area, offering a variety of things to do, including shopping, museums and parks. The neighborhood is well known for “Oscar Freire”– the most luxurious street in the city, packed with high-end boutiques. In Jardins you will also find a trendy museum, São Paulo Museum of Image and Sound (MIS), which people often line up for hours to visit. If green space is what you're after, take time to relax at Trianon Park, a refuge in the heart of Paulista Avenue.
