How can it be that a restaurant that serves hot food in almost cold bowls, red wine on white wine temperature in the wrong glass, forgetting to bring the cutlery several times get a star. From the overprized tasting menu two dishes were outstanding, three OK and the rest was quite a disappointment. First and final visit.

We went there with our Little Girl for lunch and were happy to be invited in before time during a heavy rain. Everyone is very Kind and the Food is tasteful and innovative.

Epice is one of my favorite restaurants in São Paulo. It really deserves the place in The Restaurant list and the Brazilian Michelin “macaron”. And Alberto Landgraf is certainly one of the most talented Brazilian chefs. This time, I’ve ordered a wonderful (crispy) grilled octopus with fried manioc and green beans. For dessert, chocolate (mousse and tart) with fermented pear,... More

"Epice" and Chef Alberto Landgraf got a Michelin Star this year! And this means a lot! "Epice" is one of the finest restaurants at today's São Paulo gourmet scene. Clean, modern, natural ingredients and, surprisingly, traditional cooking techniques. We had their seabass and the ribeye steak. For dessert, dark chocolate and fermented pear. Delicious, chic and branché. Welcoming service and... More

This is one of those places that you feel less-than-sophisticated if you don't gush over how fantastic is was. Out of three dishes, one was excellent, one was okay and one was just so overwrought anything good got lost in the presentation. Service was slow and not particularly friendly. The vibe is very cool, and the location is good, plus... More

I had the trotter with foie gras. It was such an amazing dish and concept. Presentation alone almost warrants an all star rating. The trotter was de-boned and then stuffed with the foie gras mixture, atop a bed of beans, with a carrot (?) purée. It is an amazing truly delicious dish, worth every reais.

If you like Traditional Jazz go there. They have changed the decoration and the music is very good. This is a restaurant to go to enjoy and savour the food. While you can enjoy whoever is in your company you are here to eat. My wife's starter was pumpkin followed by grilled snapper. I had "raw meat" a form of... More

Epice is on the list of 50 best restaurants in the classification of the British magazine The Restaurant. We went to dinner this week and chose dishes with offals, rare in good restaurants. We ordered lamb neck, pork trotter and pork belly, all excellent. There are some interesting choices of starters and few, but creative desserts. Don’t forget to ask... More

When I visited this restaurant (I think almost 2 years ago), I thought that the chef was promising. I was right about that. Visiting this week, I could experienced that the chef grew in his cuisine, which he prepare creative dishes with Brazilian ingredients and French style. The place is small, simple and cozy. Staff is very friendly and effective... More

Staying in Jardins

Neighborhood Profile
Jardins
Located just below important Paulista Avenue, Jardins is the junction of four smaller neighborhoods: Jardim Paulista, Jardim América, Jardim Europa and Jardim Paulistano. It is an upper-class area, offering a variety of things to do, including shopping, museums and parks. The neighborhood is well known for “Oscar Freire”– the most luxurious street in the city, packed with high-end boutiques. In Jardins you will also find a trendy museum, São Paulo Museum of Image and Sound (MIS), which people often line up for hours to visit. If green space is what you're after, take time to relax at Trianon Park, a refuge in the heart of Paulista Avenue.
