I went to this restaurant as it was recommended I'm the Lonely Planet. The restaurant itself was simple Italian style, our waiter spoke good English and the menu was also in English. The sausage bread we got for entrée was delicious, worth a try, I ordered pizza and it was nice, hot and cheesy with a thin crust, my partner... More

This restaurant is very highly rated and is supposed to be the place to eat Italian in Sao Paulo but it was a little bit disappointing. The service is impeccable but the food is not that great. It's good food but it just isn't as great as you would expect for such a highly recommended place.

As an Italian ... I'd leave aside sterile discussions on what a "true" pizza should be like, or even which is the best local pizzeria. Here dough was thick, Neapolitan style - quite tasty and not heavy on the stomach. Toppings ... ok, american style, a bit over-abundant for my taste, I'd stick to the simpler combinations. As stated by... More

This pizzeria came highly recommended. Hence came for dinner. Salad was super fresh. Just too large. The pizza was just about a 7 on 10. Was not over the moon, as people said it was. Bhagwan

I wouldnt say it is the best as some people seem to think (I still prefere Braz), but it is quite good. The sausage bread with cheese is delicious (although the crust is a bit too thick). Pizza was good (best margherita ever is a bit too much) and so was the traditional ricotta pie. Location is convenient and service... More

Pizza like in Italy? Most definitely not. It's much more of an American-style pizza, with thick dough and lots of toppings, and you can order half of the pizza with one topping, the other half with something else. It's not the classic individual pizzas, but you can order different sizes and share. Not really my kind of pizza, as it... More

As an Italian, I can state that this pizza doesn't resemble one bit to an Italian one!!! Tomato sauce is tasteless, and the mixture of ingredients that cover the pizza quite embarrassing... I don't understand why it is considered one of the best of the city. It's simply disgusting. Nevertheless - they tried to charge us with drinks we did... More

Staying in Bela Vista

Neighborhood Profile
Bela Vista
Known for its Italian cantinas, Bela Vista is the place to go for great pasta. Also called “Bixiga”, the area is an important cultural part of the city, with the bohemian and the religious costumes of its inhabitants on full display. In August, the large Nossa Senhora Achiropita party fills the streets with a variety of Italian food and music. You can experience the liveliness of the neighborhood walking through the antiquities fair at Dom Orione Square or visiting the “Brazilian Caminito”, a version of the Argentinian street complete with colorful buildings. Bela Vista is also home to the traditional samba school “Vai-Vai”. Buy a ticket to a rehearsal and get a taste of what Carnival is like.
