I've been there today for lunch. Was very disappointed. More of a tourist place. Food is quite heavy and not so tasty. Don't recommend. Was very disappointed.

I totally recommend this place, once is our favorite "cantina" in Sao Paulo. Every single time we went there we had a great experience in terms of service, food, and place. Food is deliciously tasty, waiters are very kind and attentive and the place is very cozy. The price is just fair, when compared to other similar options.

I had the spinach pasta cannelloni with meat sauce it was good. The Tartuffo for desert was spectacular. Service was very good and look forward to again eating here

Homemade pasta, very tasty! Big portions: one is enough for two people. Pesto sauce like in Italy. Service fast.

What can I say?? Cantina Roperto is a place that has not changed for decades. What they do is what they know. Home made pasta like no other. Have any type any way you want. We had goat with a garlic broccoli and potatoes. The star of the meal was the fusili with a red tomato sauce. Don't miss this... More

Excelent Italian Food in the heart of the "Bexiga" (Little Italy Neighborhood). The Ravioli, Angneolotti and Lazanha are the best picks in this great place to go in São Paulo.

Lovely food, but since the old owner has died the service is getting worse which is sad and frustrating. As a person who comes here all the time I recommend pesto sauce, it's the best!

First off, the food is Italian, but it's not like the Italian food I've had in Italy. Then again, the Italian food I've had in the U.S. is often not like the Italian food in Italy, so I'm not going to criticize it for that. We tried several things including manicotti and some pasta with marinara type of sauce and... More

I have to say that I expected more after reading so many reviews in the internet. It is not bad, but... It is a normal italian food. However, I thought the waiters were not very friendly or paying attention to you. We had to wait long to order and I could see them just there hanging around. It was "ok"... More

Staying in Bela Vista

Neighborhood Profile
Bela Vista
Known for its Italian cantinas, Bela Vista is the place to go for great pasta. Also called “Bixiga”, the area is an important cultural part of the city, with the bohemian and the religious costumes of its inhabitants on full display. In August, the large Nossa Senhora Achiropita party fills the streets with a variety of Italian food and music. You can experience the liveliness of the neighborhood walking through the antiquities fair at Dom Orione Square or visiting the “Brazilian Caminito”, a version of the Argentinian street complete with colorful buildings. Bela Vista is also home to the traditional samba school “Vai-Vai”. Buy a ticket to a rehearsal and get a taste of what Carnival is like.
