The food at the restaurant it is OK but it is well know due the fact that remain at the top of the building in downtown area from where you can have near 360 view of the city.

I visited the Terraço Itália with my wife and some of our family. We went there to celebrate a wedding of our cousin. We had sat in the piano bar area for many hours enjoying the live music and several drinks. They have an excellent bar staff there and they can make you almost anything you'd like to drink. My... The place is very nice, great view over the city of São Paulo, beautiful sightseeing. Also the staff is very polite and gentle. The food is good, however this restaurant is a bit more expensive than the others... But is worth it!

Excellent customer service and amazing food. And Mr. Osmar, what a gentleman! I ordered the grilled octopus and the seafood spaghetti. Very good. Octopus cooked to perfection and the pasta was very tasty.

No one of the staff could speak English. I think is a bit strange as it is such a famous restaurant. Language skills is also about service. The food wasn't good. The risotto was over cooked, and not à la minute. I know as I was a chef in the past. The music entertaining was annoying and so loud that... More

The food is good, service is good, the view is very good and the music is ok. This is a expensive restaurant, but there are not a only man to be a security guard in the entrance of the building. After the dinner, celebrating my wedding anniversary, while I was waiting a cab, a thief stole my smartphone. I was... More

The view here is nice. However, the service leaves much to be desired. With a 30 BR cover and expensive drinks, I hoped the experience would be worth the money. I have had to fight to get the waiters' attention, and they lack the courtesy that should come with dining in a place like this. I recommend that you come... More

If you want to see the magnitude of Sao Paulo's size, go to the Terraco Italia. The views from the 40 something floor are astonishing. It is very cosy, with an old soul. Great service, piano music, and old school cocktails makes it perfect for an impressive date or business discussion. A must see in Sao Paulo.

The view is a must. The food is average so dont expect it to be 5* and was expensive. If that dont matter, the the atmosphere, music, romantic surrounding was fantastic.

Staying in Republica

Neighborhood Profile
Republica
Part of the historical center of São Paulo, República was once a fancy residential area. República Square holds a craft and food fair every weekend, right by the subway entrance. Nearby, one of the neighborhood’s main attractions is the Italian Building, where you can see the city from the 42nd floor. The Copan Building also deserves a close look, with 1,160 apartments and a huge floor area that inspired filmmakers and other artists. To get the feeling of São Paulo in the beginning of the 1900s, visit the Municipal Theatre – you will be amazed by its architecture. The area also features several galleries. República is a great area to explore during daytime, but use caution if visiting alone at night.
