Had a great picanha on the terrace, good and quick service and the meat was excellent (great salads too). Price ok, and the sallon looked very good as well. Recommend

As far as I remember, this is one of the first great barbecue that still serve in Porto Alegre. Several times refirbished and renewed, of course Spectacular experience eating there

This is a true classic. Over 40 years and going strong. Excellent meat in a variety of cuts, always perfectly made to the customer's taste and served a la carte. A salad trolley circles continuously with a big selection of vegetables and greens, brought in fresh every morning. A veteran team of waiters knows the customers and makes sure everybody... More

The authentic barbecue spot in town. Here you can have the chance to taste the real Rio Grande barbecue. Ribs, picanha, chicken hearts and mayo salad. The gauchos develop an unique way to grill their meet. They put the meet on sticks and straight to the burning coal. Gross salt and that's it. The options are rare, medium rare, done... More

It's a traditional restaurant, that stays open until late. The meat is ok, but nothing special. Overpriced, for sure. Unless it's past midnight, there's no reason to go there.

There are plenty of Churrascarias in Porto Alegre, restaurants that are specialized in charcoal spit roasted barbecues, but no one is so famous, so traditional and soooo good as Barranco. There is no alive soul in the city (and many thousands from everywhere) that hasn't been here enjoying the best cuts of meat a la carte and cold drafted beers... More

Barranco is a classical gaucho barbecue restaurant which has survived the ups and downs of Brazilian economy and changing trends. It sticks to an a la carte selection of meat and is more expensive in proportion than many of the "rodízio" all-you-can eat places, but it´s worth it because of the quality of the meat it serves, done to the... Barranco is a longtime "must-go" for a barbecue in Porto Alegre. The meat is always the best, draft beer always really cold, service attentive, and extended hours. In a sunny day try to sit outside, under the trees. Otherwise, head inside. The menu offers more options, but stick to the barbecue and you'll have a perfect meal.

Great cuts of meat (a la carte), and many other choices of tasty foods. Also, a salad-bar-cart that rolls around and serves you fresh and chilled choices of green and vegetables. Only details I would complain is that it's an always full place, and the orders take a bit too long to get to you. Other than that, all good.
