I have been many times here. A clean and clear restaurant in caxias. Also traditional on the city. They serve the typical Italian meal from the region. Radici, pasta soup, chicken, polenta and so on. Everything deliciously prepared. Prices are not low but the cost benefit are very fair. Service was friendly and fast. Recommended!

Galeteria Alvorada is a very clean and recently redecorated though is the same traditional place for more than half a Century. Experienced people say that it's the best of the city. The menu is " Italian Immigrants style". The wine of the house is great and the dinner starts with the famous "agnolini" or capeletti soup served with Parmesan cheese.... More

This restaurant is famous for their traditional Galeto. This considers chicken with pasta and polenta frita. The chicken is really tasty and delicious. The pasta is average. The service is amazing. You can order as much chicken/pasta as you wish. The ambiance is nothing special. They have free parking.

Highly recommend for arugula salad, fried polenta, and chicken. This is a place that has a lot of history in the city and says a lot about the Italian food traditions that were brought to this part of the country with the wave of immigrants that came in the early 20th century. The place has old professional waiters, white tablecloths.... More

The food is great - traditional Galeto. Like most restaurants in the region they serve all you can eat. They have a fixed menu: Galeto with side dishes: spaghetti; polenta; radicchio; potato salad with mayo; as starter they serve a great soup. The place is a little noisy for business meetings.

The chicken here is different and special. So good, regardless what piece you get. The polenta is also some of the best I've had in Brazil. Worth a visit.

For me is the best typical cockerel made in Caxias do Sul. As it same slow food, it's necessary 2hours to have a good meal.

Caxias do Sul is very well-known for their italian immigrants. And Alvorada offered me one of the most italiany experiences I've ever had. The Capeletti Soup was perfect, and the Galeto was crispy, golden and full of flavour. Great meal!

Galeteria Alvorada, is localized in Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, the southernmost state of Brazil, the coldest state of this country. This restaurant has all its cooking based on Italian tradition. The same way the city, Caxias do Sul has all its culture based in Italian Immigration. Because of that we can find so many restaurants like these... More

This is an all you can eat style restaurant, so come hungry and you'll leave in a food coma but happy. The restaurant offers chicken (primo canto style), fried polenta filled with cheese, pasta with tomato sauce, salad and potato salad. The starter is the capeletti soup which is a old tradition brought by the italian imigrants. The primo canto... More
